Re: Why don't they promote the Adventurers Club?

I'm on the other end of the spectrum from flynnibus. I rarely drink alcohol, and most bars and night clubs make me uncomfortable. I've only been to the AC once (with a group of MiceChatters), and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Didn't have to get liquored up, either.

The entertainment experience there is more like the old Golden Horseshoe--on steroids! Corny humor and audience participation, etc. The last thing on my mind was what to order to drink!

Actually you asked me once (in a post I don't think I directly replied to at all)

Yes I have been, but not since the 90s. I haven't bothered with PI in ages except on the last trip back in March.

Actually I did only ask you once, but you did directly respond to it but "forgot" that part I guess.

Fine if you don't want to go then don't go. This has turned into a "try and talking mr. grumpy gills into going to AC" which it should not be. If you don't like it don't go.

But I also don't drink at all and have never had a better time then at AC laughing my tail off!

Split hairs if you want.. but sorry, I don't feel the requirement to respond to every word you post. It was immaterial - if it wasn't, I wouldn't have posted in the thread to start with.

People want to try to express their opinion.. that's their choice. I was just elaborating on my view of it.

Orlando's bars in general are pretty bleh. We end up in PI because we are too lazy to hunt around anymore up towards I-Drive, etc. Great place for food variety.. not so great place for bars in my experience. We made the mistake one night of going to 'the local hangout' as recommended by the bartender of the steak house we were at.. oh my.

We did find a great sushi place in Celebration though on a recommendation. Got lost getting there, but was worth it once there.

We went to blue martini one night.. bleh.. meat market dance club. I should have known when you pull up to a place.. and its attached the area mall.. not a good sign

I don't really like improv, but I loved the themed rooms of that place to hang out and chill with friends. So I don't go there for the show... I like hanging out in the mask room in between shows.

I have seen the library shows, and I liked them when I'm in the mood. BUt I have used the AC as a 'bar' more often.

The thing I like about AC is that it could either be considered a bar or a show. If all you want to do is hang out with friends and drink, you can do that, and if you want to be in the middle of the action, you can do that too. I love the AC because it's totally unique and different from anyplace I'd ever been. That and the kungaloosh drink.

I just loved this place and think it is one of the hidden gems of WDW. One of the areas where you can find really "good show."

Everytime I go I want to redecorate my house in a 1930 adventurers style. Maybe Pamelia Perkins will put out a "Decorating for Adventurers" book.

Um, does that mean you only post to threads that are immaterial?

Is the Adventurer's Club really popular? I haven't been there but would like to go. I hope Disney doesn't shut it down.

Also, are the jokes and entertainment geared for all ages or for adults only?

The jokes are geared toward adults, but are not offensive. Kids just won;t get them.

It can get crowded. I find it to be the only real Disney experience at PI.

So how does one get into the Adventurer's Club? Is it something that requires a reservation in advance or do you just... go in?

In the early evening admission is free; later there is an admission charge, it it's not already included in your ticket package.
