Why don't they promote the Adventurers Club?

Whenever I see or hear promotional materials for Downtown Disney/ Pleasure Island, they never mention the Adventurers Club anymore. Does anyone know why? I like that place... it makes PI unique. I think they should talk it up more.

It is great! It's difficult to say why they don't talk it up... but a lot of guests don't seem to understand it nor take the time to do so. It's easier to say we have a pub, dance clubs, and a comedy club I guess? But in the large picture, how much of promoting PI does Disney really do these days? Not a lot. Now that it's pretty much 21+ maybe that will change though.

if they promote it enough, their will be bigger crowds making it harder to get in, that and according go the people I spoke with mentioned you cannot use a one club ticket to get in, only a multi club ticket... even if your under 21.

Disney also doesn't promote it to let the word of mouth flow with those who like it and will.

    Kungaloosh!

I don't see how anyone can explain the Adventurer's Club to someone who hasn't been there.

Adventurer's Club is the only reason for PI to exist anymore, as far as I'm concerned.

Last I checked, adventures club and comedy club were any age as long as an adult 18+ was with you? of course they wait for the younger crowd to leave until they get good. its just you need a multi-club ticket to get in... not a single club.

Funny story....City Walk up and Universal was planning a club much like AC for a few years. But once they figured out it would not work due to main traffic being locals they gave up on that idea. AC feeds off of the guests, if the guest are really fun and play along then the show is great. If the guest are dead or only the same 7 regulars it is hard for the cast to do much other then the basic jokes. If you were to figure at DTD the crowd that would be there would be mostly AP's. I hate going in the Haunted Manison becuase of everyone chant along with the Ghost Host, could you picture everyone talking along with the cast for the jokes?

You don't have to be 21 to get into that club. 18+ if you go alone or any age if you go with someone over 21.

I don't goto bars for improv comedy.

Bars are for socializing, drinking, and sometimes bands.

The AC concept doesn't appeal to me.

Have you ever been? I don't really think of AC as much of a bar so much of a good hang out with drinks.

I don't need all the 'act' around me to have a good time... in fact I find it more distracting then enjoyable. Again.. I don't goto a bar to see a show.

If I want a good atmosphere to hang out with drinks.. I goto a patio bar or the beach. Atmosphere is just the foundation.. its always who you are with and who else is there that makes the whole mix work or not.

I don't socialize with the act.. I'm not going to pick them up.. I'm not going to hang out with them somewhere else. They are WORKING.

Just like any sucker who wants to flirt with a bartender.. hello.. she's WORKING.. and that includes WORKING YOU. She's nice because she wants your tips and spending.

Save the eyes and flirting for the other patrons - be social with the staff so you can have good interactions with them and they'll keep the drinks flowing.
