    Italian Food at WDW?

What is a good pasta/Italian place at WDW? I heard Alfredo's is closing at the end of August. Is there any word yet on what is replacing Alfredo's?

Truthfully, Alfredo's was the only Italian I considered good. The second, being Mama Melrose at MGM, just has never been that good to me.

I've never eaten at either, but have heard bad things about Mama Melrose's...we have PS for Alfredos on Sunday for lunch so I'll get to see then.

The pumpkin soup at Mama Melrose quite literally tastes like vomit.

I only ate at Mamma Melroe's once before and don't remember having any problems actualy I think I enjoyed it, never seems too hard getting in even without priority seating. But I always hear bad things about Tony's Town Sq Restaurant in the MK, but everytime I have gone to try it they never have tables available.

Can you find Italian food outside of Italy or an Italian household?

Citricos at the Grand Floridian is an Italian restaurant with a Mediterranean flair, which was pretty good.

Actually, I misspoke about Mama Melrose's. My mother has eaten there and said it was ok but nothing better than Olive Garden( or as my husband calls it Microwave Garden) But I have heard nothing good about Tony's. And you're right, it is always booked .....but nobody likes it?

I am going to assume here that you are....Italian? So is my husband but he likes my lasagna better than his mothers' but I like her baked Ziti and sauce better. He can remember the days of his grandmother making homemade pasta and it was hanging all over the chairs in the kitchen and across the table on white sheets.

My partner is Italian and thinks my cooking is better than his relatives and I am Portuguese.

(Actually they like my cooking better than their own too.)

Coming from Northern NJ, I can throw a rock and hit an italian restaurant better that any at WDW. Alfredo's was the best of an average lot, although Mama Melrose's and Tony's are better than Olive Garbage. Pizza is awful at WDW too

    I don't really like Mama Melrose's, but I loved Afredo's. I'm a sucker for good italian food.

Well, that food is okay. I prefer the fried noodles at the local italian restaurant here.
