Epcot's Mothers Day Brunch

On Mother’s Day, my brother figment1986 and I decided to treat our mom to the mother’s day buffet at Epcot. Since we had never done this before, we had no idea what to expect. Well we were pleasantly surprised.

Pirates and princesses took over the pavilion.

The event was held in the old millennium village building between Canada and England. When you entered you went to a podium where you got a slip of paper confirming your reservation, you then took that to a table to check in and wait to be seated. You could then meet captain jack, (who after posing for pictures and getting a big hug from me, informed he was there all day if I wanted to come back later. Boy was he a flirt but then you know about those pirates). Minnie and Mickey were there dressed in their pirate and princess refinery. They didn’t have Disney photographers but you, or their handlers, could use your camera to take pictures. There was also a harpist playing while you waited as well as a hostess table with complimentary water, coffee, and donuts.

The check in desk, where we were told we would be seated within 30 minutes of our priority seating.

Captain jack was on break, but earlier he was in that corner of the room.

The harpist was playing beautifully.

Re: Epcot's Mothers Day Brunch

When our name was called, we were escorted to our table and offered a complimentary glass of champagne. Unfortunately for figment, the server asked for ID and he isn’t 21 yet. We then headed out for brunch.

Our lovely seating area, near the main table

The effects of just enough champagne…

There was a huge table in the middle of the room filled with breakfast items and cold salads. Several stations were placed down the both sides of the room. There were stations for pasta, omelets, Mickey waffles, and carvings of pork loin and roast beef.

Far away look at some of the side stations

The main menu,

Various bread products and waffles

The Omelet station, figment wouldn’t leave

look, a carriage parked near the omelets station

Mom likes the roast beef,

But didn’t like the pork so much

Re: Epcot's Mothers Day Brunch

The buffet also had a decadent desert area. They also had a cookie decoration area and kids had their own station that had pasta and macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, as well as mini pizza bites.

The perfect kids menu

Long angle of the kids buffet

Nice area for dissert

The icing was like dough, to sugary

Adults dessert / salads

Close-ups of the perfect desserts

It was all delicious and well worth the $46. I wish they had these special buffets more often and not just for mother’s day. I must say we left stuffed and had a wonderful time. I highly recommend it; I know my mom enjoyed it.

Looks like a nice event and brunch!

So how was it being inside the old Millenium Village building? I haven't been in it since 2000.

Re: Epcot's Mothers Day Brunch

the village seemed smaller because it was all open and no dividers just lots of tables and chairs. figment took some really cute pictures of the family with mickey and minnie and the capt. will have him post them if we can find them. it really was a wonderful time and i can honestly say I was pampered to the hilt. Disney knows how to throw a party. oh my daughter forgot that when we came into the park they were handing out carnamtions to all the ladies and then when we got to the brunch, I got another one so I had a small boquet for the day.

Re: Epcot's Mothers Day Brunch

Sounds like you all had a great time. Is this brunch the only thing at WDW that Disney does for Mother's Day and how long have they had this event there?

it was in what they call the special events pavilion which was the old millenium village. It's between canada and UK.
I don't know how long they have been doing this brunch, I know they did it last year but I bet it's been since they started the flower and garden festival and it's an annual event. the special event's people put it on so it's extra special.
