    Ohana

Ok, we're taking everyone's recommendation to not try to do a sit-down meal at the MK. Instead we're looking at trying Ohana for dinner one night. Has anyone eaten here before?? Recommendations for things to try?

    Re: Ohana

No sit down meals? Why? Liberty Tree Tavern at lunch is one of the best offerings on the whole property!

Ohana is good. If you want really good food, Epcot is where you want to go. Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge is good as well.

We're doing Le Cellier at Epcot, Sci-Fi at MGM, Donald's Breakfastsorus at AK so far. We have 3 more to pick...

We will be at Ohana in a week!!!
They serve skewers of meat, yummy potatoes, salad, veggies and the absolute BEST dessert! I would not miss eating here on any trip.

    Enjoy!!!!

    Re: Ohana

'Ohana is a great place, but it is noisy and more geared to families. There are several great sit down places if you are willing to leave the MK.

Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge is a great family experience. It is loud, but will give you many wonderful memories. Remember not to ask for catchup!

For the Princess lovers in you family, I think that 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian is a great place for pics and autographs for the princesses in training.

If you are only a couple of adults, then I recommend the California Grill in the Contemporary. Much more romantic and memorable.

Ohana is a family style resturant. Meaning, they keep bringing food, you don't order it. They will come with bowls of potatoes, shrimp, large skewers of beef, turkey, pork, sausages...and food that I can no longer remember because all I think about is the bread pudding with banana foster sauce........yummmmmmmy!!!

    Re: Ohana

Ohana's is one of the best meals I've had in WDW. I loved the atmosphere and the food is fantastic. There is no ordering, they just keep bringing steak, chicken, pork, etc, to your table family style. Try to get a time close to when Wishes plays at the Magic Kingdom. They pipe the music into the restaurant and you can watch it from the windows. Truly a magical time.

In exactly a week from now, we will have finished our food at 'Ohana and be waiting for the fireworks.

If you go, make sure you request a window seat, they pipe the music from the fireworks show into the restaurant.

    It's the absolute best.

    Thank you.

We are doing Liberty Tree on our trip next week. Actually, we are doing 2 (maybe 3 new restaurants). Liberty Tree, Alfredo's (before it changes) and possibly Sci-Fi for lunch on Thursday ... or at least Ice Cream.

    Re: Ohana

Ohana is AWESOME. Our service left a little to be desired on our last trip, but I've eaten there three times and the food is very, very delicious. We even special ordered a birthday cake in advance for my nephew. They brought it out after we were finished with the main course and he was very surprised. The cake was just as tasty as everything else. Yum-o!

Will they be able to work with food allergies as well? I'm allergic to ginger, blue food dye and a few other things.
