    Boats outside theme park

My family has successfully traded our Marriott timeshare week for a week this summer at Disney's Vero Beach. We typically go to Disney World in the late fall or early winter when there are no crowds.

We were thinking of driving over to Orlando for a day and doing things on property outside of the theme parks.

Didn't I read one time that there are boats you can rent on the lagoon? How do I make those arrangements?
We were also thinking about Mickey's BBQ dinner show.

Other suggestions for a family of four (boys ages 7 & 4)?

You can rent the boats at several of the resorts including the Contemporary, Granc Floridian, etc. There is a lot of information at allearsnet.com

For any dining shows, character meals, or table service restaurants, you need to (407)WDW-DINE. I think that's the right number.
