That's nice. If only they could transform the restaurant into the high quality establishment it is at TDR's Ambassador Hotel and HKDLR's Hollywood Hotel. That way, the price increase would be justified and in tune with it's surroundings.

Which I am sure you have topay extra... so where is the value? ...and where is the lavish surroundings to justify the cost of eating there?? That's my gripe with Chef Mickey at WDW.

Isn't that around $30 as well?

I was there a few weeks back, and it's gone downhill - and it's too expensive for what it is. The salad bar looked a mess during the meal, nobody was refilling it. They no longer have their chocolate mousse cake, which Chef Mickeys had for a very long time.

After that meal, I cancelled a Chef Mickeys reservation I had for my September free dining stay. I think Kona will be a much better choice. I know a lot of people still like it - and it may have been an off night. But it was really pricey and disorganized, I can get better food elsewhere.

Considering the price rises in food lately I am surprised they didn't raise the prices even more. I love chef mickeys but tend to avoid it during the summer because it's overbooked and overcrowded. for breakfast, i prefer boma's but thats all the way at the AK lodge, not near the monorail,

I still feel Chef Mickey's is the best place for a character breakfast

I don't tend to do character breakfasts (sort of expensive for breakfast food), I go to Trails End mostly. But my favorite overall still is 1900 Park Fare. I haven't been in over a year, but I've always enjoyed it.

Considering this dining location is constantly booked and overbooked due to location/convience and that it's a character dining location. Remember the Chef Mickey's lunch last August due to free dining guests? This price change doesn't surprise me. First the Castle, now Chef Mickey's - I wouldn't be surprised to see some of the more popular dining locations continue to follow.
