Wow. I expected several reactions to this thread, but not a collective shrug and "Oh well, that's business."

I'm not so naive to think that large multi-national corporations don't have skeletons in the closet, but it greatly disturbs me when one of them assumes a high-profile sponsorship of the ultimate family-friendly destination, and at the same time assists a country that supports and exports terrorism and has a wacko president who denies the Holocaust ever happened and wants to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.

To use WDW1974's analogy, this isn't GE helping to build nuclear weapons, this would be GE selling that technology to the Soviet Union at the height of the Cold War.

I find the lack of moral outrage over this kind of disturbing.

Perhaps the lack of outrage has something to do with the stark contrast between the alarming title of your thread and facts. The nexus between your premise -- that Spaceship Earth aids terrorists -- and the underlying facts -- that the new sponsor, Siemans, conducts business in countries that are known to give aid to enemies of the U.S. -- is incredibly weak.

I find the lack of moral outrage over this kind of disturbing.

Perhaps you should register a complaint with the US government then, over providing Siemens with at least ~20% of it's revenue, as opposed to the less than 1% it gets from customers in those countries? (I have no idea whether or not the company is dealing with the governments of those countries, so while I can't agree or disagree with that assumption of yours, I will make that assumption for the time being.)

The time to punish Siemens for that is long past methinks. Many people and companies in Germany jumped onto that band wagon, since it was the Thing to Do back then. Certainly the company has changed by now, and even in the worst case scenario it is "gotten away with". Since no punishment was given within a reasonable time, the most you can get now is have them hand over a few metaphorical coins and continue on.

(The following information was given by my high school world history teacher, and therefore has the possibility of being completely wrong)
And anyway, the Catholic Pope was a former "Nazi Youth", will you ban the Catholic religion because of it?

This is just my view on it though, and since I was not around during this time I don't have any strong emotions connected to it, I might not be feeling this moral outrage that is considered "normal".

Yes, but not in the way you would have wanted. I lost interest in the rest of the story immediately, whereas I might have read it all with interest if there hadn't been a misleading headline.
