We just returned from a split stay at Port Orleans and the Beach Club. We like Port Orleans a whole lot, but the Beach Club is excellent. The cast members were very helpful. Bell Services almost beat us to our room with the luggage. They have Stormalong Bay, which is a mini waterpark. You can walk to Epcot. Boat goes to MGM. The Boardwalk can be gotten to by walking or taking a boat. They have the best icecream place around. There are many more restaurant choices. A character meal on property at Cape May. The Yacht Club right next door has the best breakfast buffet I have seen at WDW. We were fortunate to stay at the villas (I am not a vacation Club Member, booked the room with a AAA discount). Just can't say anything bad. Almost all night room service. Great breakfast room service. Prompt and courteous people. Its funny because when we first walked in to check in, the people behind the desk were very stoic. Well first impressions are sometimes wrong. They were just super. Later in the week, when I realized that I would not use one day on my park hopper, they were very helpful in helping me upgrade to a 10 day pass, with no expiration, that I can now use on any future trip to the world. Definitely hope to return. Maybe the Yacht CLub next time. Housekeeping came early in the day. We had a ground floor room near everything. Well you can tell I really loved the Beach Club. Never waited longer than 10 minutes for any transportation either.
I've stayed at the now defunct Disney Inn
All Star Movies
LOVE LOVE LOVED Caribbean Beach, wonderful staff, wonderful stay.
ASMo was horrid, just horrid. I won't ever stay at an AS again
Disney Inn was nice from what I remember
I would like to split our stay next year between Beach CLub & Poly, we'll see.
I just got back from a 7 day trip at the Coronado Springs, and other than a few foul-ups on the part of the reservations people, I loved the feel of the place. Very relaxing and peaceful. And they have a manager there named Ray who was wonderful to us, fixing the reservationists' screw ups. Thanks, Ray!
