I mean GIMME A BREAK
I mean GIMME A BREAK
Question: if you were an executive or manager, would you shut the ride down until the eye is fixed or wait till the park closes to put the eyeball back in?
I'm not taking sides, but I would consider this bad show if it was like this for more than a day.
come on.. that thread is an informative joke.... think of it like the Maliboomer seen from tomorrowland thread.... except temporary... unless it goes for more than a day... Remember things can break...
Things can break alright but for those of us who visit WDW often enough, we can tell you that Splash Mountain is one of the rides with the most technical problems around. Broken props that go unfixed for days is almost the norm there. 3 out of 4 times I have ridden, Brer Rabbit does not hop at all in the hopping scene or he is missing from the set altogether. A few weeks ago, chewing gum sat uncleaned and stuck to the wall in the cave area of the queue for days, and I saw the same piece of chewing gum stuck to one of the sets two times I rode in 3 days...which I presume was the doings of prom night attendees, since the problem became very apparent during the Grad Nights week. Also dirty and mildewy looking and smelling log veihicles are the norm at WDW's Splash. Otownguy is only showing us one of the many problems we local APers see often on Spalsh Mountain.
Let's not make excuses for WDW's management lack of respect for the product's and show's quality. Things break, but they can also be fixed overnight, but that is obviously NOT happening.
I personally saw and noticed that his eye was missing. I was LMAO. But yes, it is very bad show.
Other current problems in Splash Mt. :
-Jumping Fountains in Laughing Place still do not work.
-A fountain in Laughing Place has gone insane and now shoots at guests.
-The eye is missing. (as mentioned)
-The Brer Fox shadow in the upper tunnel is not active.
-Various water cannons outside are not working properly.
-A patch is showing in the riverboat scene.
-Some speakers are down.
-There is still some gum in the hallway.
-They re-routed everyone through the giftshop.
Any other problems you see? LOL
Splash Mountain is a pathetic joke when it comes to upkeep. Phil Holmes should be forced to clean those filthy logs himself ...
From what I was told, the eye was in place the day after the incident occurred.
I did get an email however saying that Country Bear Jamboree was in HORRIBLE shape (some of the fur was falling off of the bears) the other day.
This is getting pathetic.
You can sure blame Disney for malfunctioning audio-animatronics, but itīs not fair to say the chewing gum is Disneys fault. I mean VISITORS stick their gum on the ride, not the CMīs. You should not only complain about bad maintenance, but also about the attitude problem of many visitors!
You know, it's a shame there hasn't been a management house cleaning like there was at Disneyland.
