So we decided to take a quick weekend trip to see the newly re-opened Haunted Mansion. We got a room for one night in one of the new DVC studios at AKL. Our room wasn't ready when we got there so we checked our bags and took some pics of the lobby.
Off to Epcot!
After grabbing fast passes for Soarin' we rode Living with the Land, grabbed some lunch and headed over to Journey into Imagination!
Then onto The Seas with Nemo and Friends...
A quick stop into Club Cool for some refreshment...
On our way over to Mexico for a quick boat ride with the Three Caballeros I saw this and though of Phonedave...
Went back to AKL and headed down for some animal viewing and the nightly story by the fire pit.
After he told his story, we all paraded through the lobby to Zawadi Marketplace to pick up instruments and sing a song he was teaching us.
The girls get into the fun with some shakers...
We headed back to the room for a room service pizza and an early night so we would be all rested for our day at MK.
I really loved the mirror in the room, it lights up.
We arrived at MK and met up with Summer and her daughter. Had to stop by the Kodak camera center to pick up a video tape so my husband could tape all the new glory of the Haunted Mansion and went in the back for a few photo ops.
We grabbed fast passes for Peter Pan's Flight for later and then headed for the main destination of out trip. The Haunted Mansion!
Sooooooo glad they didn't get rid of this!
Madame Leota
Hitchhikers!
Then we did some Fantasyland rides and Goofy's Barstormer.
We headed off to Pinocchio's Village Haus for some lunch.
It's eating her head!!!!!!
A quick trip to Ariel's grotto...
After another ride on Haunted Mansion we headed to Adventureland for a ride on POTC and The Magic Carpets of Aladdin.
On our way to Tomorrowland, I (Summer bless me) see the sign for the new Jack Sparrow meet and greet. The queue line for this is very nicely themed!
After a couple of rides on TTA, and a quick farewell to VMK Central we bid goodbye to Summer and made our way through the rain back to the bus stop to get our car from AKL.
I love how even the soda machines are themed!
Quick stop at the restrooms in the AKL lobby...even those are themed with female and male tribal masks!
We stopped in DTD to fill up the car where we saw this rainbow. A great way to end the weekend!
