Best Princess Character Dining - Akershus or Cinderella's Royal Table?

Ok, so since I just found out that I'm going on the Invasion in a few weeks, so I thought I'd try and plan some events.

I'd really love to do another Princess Character Dining, but the question is which is better? Is Cinderella's Royal Table worth the price difference?

When aerinpegadrack and I went in January, we had lunch at Akershus and it was by far the best lunch we had that entire trip. The food was great, the waiter was a delight and of course, we got to talk to and get pics with the Princesses.

I'm wondering if I should go to Akershus again or try something different at Cinderella's Royal Table?

Also, I see the Lunch and Dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table go by different names... Is there a diiference? Is either better?

Any comments are appreciated.

We did Cindy's Royal Table last February and are doing it again this October, so, yeah, we really enjoyed it and felt it was worth every penny.

Can't comment on Akershus because haven't tried it yet.

It is hard to get an ADR for Cinderella's Royal Table. I have never been disappointed with any character meal, and eating in the castle is a treat. I don't know if Park Fare is available for your dates, but they also have Cinderella, and the Prince.

I've done Cinderella for lunch and Akershus for breakfast.

Cinderella had a few nice surprises, but the main thrust of the experience is being in the castle. I've done it once. I'm glad I did it. Seeing inside the castle was cool. I probably won't do it again until I have kids.

Akershus I would go back to.

I would do akershus just because i think the royal table is overpriced and very hard to get into this close to the trip.

Akershus is nice because you get a variety of princesses and the restaurant is beautiful.

Not all the Princesses show up at Cinderella's Royal Table?

Mary Poppins showed up while we were there. Jasmine. Belle in her blue outfit. Snow White. Picture with Cinderella. Not really as exciting as Akurshus was!

I have kids, and we did go to the Royal Table - for breakfast.

Have also done Akershus for breakfast and dinner.

I would do Akershus again. I don't think I would do the Royal Table again. I felt very rushed at the Royal Table. It may have been a one time thing, but I have done Akershus 3 or 4 times and allways had a good time.

Whoa, I didn't know this little detail... I might have to look into this Princess character dining thing!

I have never seen a Prince in a character meet & greet!

I have a young daughter who is a princess fanatic. We have done all the princess breakfasts and diners and after many of them we have only done the royal table once, versus four times at Akershus. Much better food, service, character experience, atmosphere, more relaxed and all around much more enjoyable.

If you have fussy eaters would recommend the Breakfast over the dinner even though the food is wonderful the dinner menu is intimidating. The breakfast has changed to a skillet style similar to Whispering Canyons in recent years but they used to have wonderful pastry trays from the bakery when it first opened... Still yummy but I miss the pastries.

At Cinderella's you meet Cindy, The Mice, and there is a guest appearance by the Fairy Godmother (she does a little number, but doesn't stop for photos).

Akershus is princess or (in Disney's view) princess like characters. They rotate the characters. So one day you may find Jasmine is there and the next day she's been replaced by Mulan or Mary Poppins. Belle may be in the yellow dress or the blue. It's one of the reasons I like Akershus -- you never no who you might see.
