We just finished seeing the new version of "O! Canada". It was alright. Not bad. I wasn't a big fan of the old film so I would say I'm nuetral. I am getting a bit tired of the lame, post-modern Disney.
we just finished looking at the small gallery exhibit. The marquee uses the old font and flower logo, sans "Center". It is a nice little display showcasing EPCOT Center old and new. It reminds me of the preshow at "First 50 Magical Years".
Where is the gallery exhibit and will it be there for an extended period, moved somewhere else or dismantled after today?
The gallery is on the west side of Innoventions West between the Epcot Character Spot and Club Cool. I will try to get some answers on the duration of its stay. It seems too well done to be gone incredibly soon.
I think Illuminations is all that is left for the day. I was able to get shirts, plushes, and pins. I believe I have the whole set (which I casually picked up at the United Kingdom Pavillion). I am acquiring guide maps and will post info on getting them later.
The rest of the day I am just enjoying EPCOT Center. The crowds are rather light. I hope Illuminations does not become overly hectic.
Image is also selling a number of these items - specifically those that include Figment.
According to CMs they are OVER staffed for today, as if it were a holiday. While they expect it to get busier at night, the crowds are easily manageable for guests. Also, buttons are being given out to guests as they enter.
Illuminations just ended and all I can say is OMFG! That was amazing! The tag could easily have passed as a stand alone show. I did not think anything could be so amazing that I would rank it higher than watching "Remember... Dreams Come True" on 17 July 2005 after seven years away. This showing of Illuminations is now my favorite single showing of a night show.
