What they need to do is put back a Cinema inside the Cinema. I don't care if they want to sell movie style candy inside, but I want old black and white movies playing in there. It adds to the atmosphere of Main Street.

now why would disney want to do that when they have perfectly cookie cutter stuff to sell?????
i mean, you could always walk across the street to the emporium and get everything there, but with this new place to sell stuff, disney might make up to $10 more a day now!!!!!

I think that'd be funnier if Eisner wasn't at CNBC...



The loss of the Main Street Cinema is just one of the many details that the Magic Kingdom has lost that makes it so lacking in comparison to the other Disneylands, but also other offerings at Walt Disney World.

FYI, it's making room for the King's Gallery which used to be in the Castle before the boutique came in *ugh*

Also, black and white movies can be seen in the back of the Expo hall

I guess that that is still the buzz these days. Although Kevin mentioned that a jewelry shop will be in there as well.

I don't think you will find much of a Super Wal-Mart in there when it re-opens.

That's the buzz I heard as well. We will have to wait and see for sure. But yes, so long to VMK on Main Street.

Six Flags sells Disney clothes too! I really have no idea why.

I haven't been in the Main Street Cinema in years, but it was a nice place to get away from the crowds on a busy day.

Sadly, it will probably become a Pixar character meet and greet.

Seems they are are hell-bent on destroying any memory that this was once a "land"...instead we a Disney interpretation of Wal-Mart.
