Dining Advice

Hi,
We will be going to WDW for the first time next month. We have many of our dining reservations but do not have any for the day we are at the Animal Kingdom.

Can anyone recommend a restaurant that will be near here or at AK?

Thank you in advance.

Re: Dining Advice

Boma for breakfast or dinner at the AKL.

Re: Dining Advice

The only table service restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom is the Rainforest Cafe that sits directly outside the park gates. I have not been keeping detailed track, but Tusker House in Africa is set to become a buffet soon.

Re: Dining Advice

If you're in the park then go for Rainforest Cafe if its lunch you're after. (It's half in / half out the park by the way).

The new Yak & Yeti restaurant near Expedition Everest should be up and running in November. Check with Disney Dining for exact opening date.

Evening meal - go to AK Lodge - Boma or Jiko - both superb!

Boma - http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw...ricaDiningPage

Jiko - http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw...JikoDiningPage

Whichever you decide book an ADR now! I wouldn't risk just walking up and hoping to get a table.

And yes, Tusker House is undergoing a refit - Donald's new character breakfast is moving there.

OHANA'S

Its at the polynesian, and I recommend it to anyone who goes to WDW for the first time, as it has the best food of any restaurant anywhere within WDW.

100% Stand behind that guarantee

Re: Dining Advice

Counter service is the way to go. No overpriced sit-down meals for me!

If you're in AK, forget sit down and settle with Flame Tree Barbeque.
Although I would like to try Yak and Yati when it is open...
