Re: This Disneylander needs help organizing his first WDW trip

So... is Feb. a good time of year to go, or not? I'm so confused... I realize everyone has there different opinions about, well, everything, but I can't seem to get a general consensus on this. Many people recommend Nov. and early Dec., but we don't want there to be any holiday layovers when we visit, so we can see the regular WDW.

    Help????

I went for a wedding in Feb a few years ago and it was insanely mobbed, not to mention plane fares went sky high.

Okay... so what time of year would you recommend? Remember, we don't want any holiday stuff going on.

I always went the end of October when I was growing up but that was before the Halloween Parties began. I have only been 3 times since I stopped working for WDW and none were for Disney trips specifically. Sorry I can't be of any more help since you don't want to look into going in Oct.

You should spend some time at DTD as well. Rent a pontoon and taking a relaxing cruise around DTD, Port Orleans and OKW.
Also, you may as well enjoy Pleasure Island while it lasts. If it exists when you go...

It's seems the area of confusion is Feb., I personally have never experienced the kinds of things people mention but everyone's definition is different.

If you want low level crowds I recommend September (except for Labor Day weekend), most people tend to avoid going because it rains a lot and its during hurricane season. However, if crowd levels is what your trying to avoid, as well as holiday layovers, then Sept. would be my recommendation.
