Great report Mousercise! It's bringing back all the memories of last year's trip...so sad I wasn't there this time . You've taken some really beautiful pictures and I can't wait to see the rest! By the way, I agree with all of your ride reviews so far

This TR is great, Mousercise! I'm loving all of your pictures and I'm feeling so jealous that you were just in Florida. The Mickey pumpkins and SSE just make my heart patter with glee!!

And butterlfylark...your reaction to Dinosaur is very similar to the one I had. Yeah. Genuinely scared is a very embarassing look.

Lol. I didn't really intend on doing all of the ride reviews but some of the attractions were so awful or disappointing they needed to be commented on and things I had low expectations for turned out to be not so bad.

Thanks Pal Mickey is a very cute talking plush that gives you info about the parks, sings songs, and tells jokes. He's currently being discussed in depth over in this thread.

Great TR so far. Can't wait for the rest.

Sorry some things at Epcot were underwhelming for you. Glad to hear you liked East Coast Nemo and Ellen though. We love both of those rides.

Re: WDW Invasion II Trip Report by Mousercise

    Day 3 continued

After dinner butterflylark and I said goodbye to Epcot and the guys and hopped onto a Monorail for MNSSHP.

Bye Epcot see you on day 6

We did pretty good today, finished all of future world.

Hello MK again. This was our third day at a park I thought I'd spend the least time at.

We were a little late but just in time to catch the first parade. We wanted to make sure we hit all of the special shows and fireworks that could only be caught at the party.

    Hi Minnie!

Loved seeing this float it reminded me of all of the WDW Easter and Xmas parades I used to watch as a kid.

Some random Main Street pics. Sorry they're blurry

Hallowishes!! Terrific show better than the regular wishes show, both the music and the fireworks.

Next we went on HM and visited Cinderella's coach in Fantasyland. For the second parade we finally caught up with the Micechat group Mouseketeers who were all dancing to the Boo to You parade music.

Many thanks to the wonderful MickeyMaxx and Rixter . Not only did they make cool invasion magnets for everyone they also made Mouseketeer shirts for the party. (and I'm so dissapointed I don't have a picture of them )

After the parade butterflylark and I saw that the Villans show was about to start in front of the castle so we stayed behind while the group went trick-or-treating. Didn't take any pictures of it. Odd show, Maleficent and some dancers.

As the night was almost over, we finally made did some trick-or-treating before getting kicked out of the park. The area behind Toontown was themed with Alice.

    If you insist!

As we ended the trail it started raining so we decided to call it a night. Unfortunately a downpour started when we were about to go down Main Street. Instead of waiting it out we made a run for it through the partially flooded street. At least the bus was empty

Next.... Day 4 IOA and Universal

I'm convinced it just likes to rain there no matter what.

    Day 4 - 10.24.07

Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios

On this day a group of us took a brief break from Disney and visited the parks on the other side of town. Thank you DOOM BGI for the ride

    Even the lockers were themed.

Very very impressed by this park. The theming was amazing ...everything down to the trash cans. I can only imagine what they are going to do with Harry Potter, I have a feeling it is going to be great.

First order of business for the day: Spiderman

This ride really is as good as all of the hype. I hate to say it but it was the best I visited on the entire trip.

    Seuss land

The detail in this place was amazing.

Very neat little train ride above the land.

That would be an eatery down there. Looks a lot better than the Land building at Epcot.....

    A view of the Hulk.

Not even a plain exit sign here

This dedication was at the exit of the train ride

    Onto the Lost Continent!

No pictures of it but we went on Dueling Dragons. Great coaster, awesome queue. Just be warned there are a lot of rides at this park, and Universal, where they do not allow you to bring any bags with you. They do provide free lockers or you can leave stuff with a non-rider or "bag lady" .

I sat off of this one and took my turn as the "bag lady" which meant I got to watch everyone get soaked at the end of the drop......

or not. Apparently the back two rows are a good place to sit if you want to stay dry.

The group had lunch at Mythos. Good food and I thought it was reasonably priced.

    ^butterflylark

    ^ ride buddy
Some photos of the area around Spiderman

    Toon Lagoon

    So true

I think butterflylark already posted a picture of this but here it is again cause it's such a great message

    Moving on to Universal

Good ride but not so appealing to someone who doesn't like mummies.

Loved loved loved this ride. 2nd best of the trip. Think Buzz Lightyear, but better. This was another one that didn't allow bags so no pics The queue was amazing, really looked like the movie, and the ride was fun.

After that we called it a day as Universal was closing early for the Halloween event and others had to get to a meet at Animal Kingdom. Since we planned on going the next morning we skipped the meet.

Later that night I had a fabulous dinner with DOOM BGI at the California Grill. We happened to see Newt Gingrich there too, our trip was bookended by Republican and Democratic conventions. Really nice restaurant, the views are spectacular, and its nice to get away from all of the theme park activity. Our server was a little kooky but the food was great. If you go there have the banana buzz for dessert. Butterscotch, bananas, wafer, butterscotch frozen custard yum!
