philharmagic is one of the most popular attractions in fantasyland. In my opinion it's much better than the lion king show that was there and the best 3 d movie on the property. I don't think it belongs in DCA but they could get rid of the princess faire and build a theater for it in fantasyland.

Yah, I definitely think it works better in Fantasyland / Toontown. DCA needs to stick with more original attractions until it has its feet strongly planted.

Onto Haunted Mansion! I think it's a fantastic attraction and I love what they added to it. I do think that the awning takes away from it overall but they definitely need the shade in florida! I did have a problematic doom buggy popping and hissing in the audio.

Actually... i found that ALL of Walt Disney World had really crappy audio everywhere! That was kind of disappointing but back to what's good: The Haunted Mansion. Really enjoyed it.

The Hall of Presidents had a spooky bust of their own:

For that comment above, I found myself on the rack.

    A very wet Liberty Square

I didn't see County Bears on this trip but glad to see it's there.

Is it me or is this entire park turned into Fantasyland?

    Eeeeeew, smell something awful?

Yah, it's still pretty bad. Glad Disneyland has the original. Though hearing Phil Hartman in ANYTHING is always comforting.

And in my quest to ride all the newest attractions, I found myself doing this:

It just clutters all of Adventureland up in my opinion. Butterflylark and mousercise are smiles though. It started to rain when we got on.

As if that guy was imitating Aladdin....

    EEEEEE! SWISS FAMILY ROBINSON!

    (l-r) Butterflylark, Mousercise, Jeff

The movement in these waterbuckets is sorely missed in Disneyland's adventureland.

And now for something completely different:

    Okay, more to come!

Thanks for the tip on this NNL. I bought the Advil PM and it worked wonders. Slept the whole way on both flights and wasn't too groggy when I woke up.

I love how you keep relating what you saw and photographed at MK in relation to Disneyland. I used to do that a lot myself.

    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Well... if you have only been to WDW and not some of the other Disney resorts on Earth.. then yes, WDW would be the best.

Sorry for being so slow! I'm still on day 1 when everyone else is halfway through!!!

Ok so here's a closer look at the castle. It really is pretty marvelous. But I feel it's a bit too big. And it's not because I like the charm of Sleeping Beauty Castle. I think it's too big to serve as an effective foreground for fireworks. I'll explain that more on day 2.

I love the details sculpted in showing Cinderella's friends.

Jeff standing in front of the mosaic.

There's mickey again.. this time as a sir!

Backside of the castle... apparently they are building something there.

Disneyland used to have the Tinkerbell toy shop. MK still has it pretty much.

Fantasyland baffles me. They have areas with really great fanciful architecture and then all the rides have the more disappointing medieval look.

This isn't something Walt would approve:

Intended for children 2 through 5??? What a waste of space.

That dude on the right was wishing he was between the ages of 2 to 5 right now. Or maybe he wishes there was something worth going on!

Their Winnie the Pooh ride is so much better than the Disneyland version. For once, why couldn't they have cloned something as good as Florida's Pooh? Of course it'd be even better to get the tokyo version!

These hunnie pots are cuter than massive bee hives.

    It started pouring!

We spent a lot o ftime in the Pooh store for the rain to pass.

More still to come. Nap time for me!

No nap time! On with the report!

Great job so far, it looks like you guys had a great time. I wish I could have been there, but this is almost as good as if I had gone.

Thanks! It helps that I'm still relatively new to WDW and I'm constantly darting my eyes around to spot the differences. I've missed a ton though!

During the rain, we grew restless waiting in Pooh's Thotful spot. And I also thought that the playground needed a Pooh statue in the stylings of Rodin's The Thinker.

Here, Mrs. Potts has a cupboard of...... ice cream! I realized that Orlando resorts put everything in big obvious signs so that people know exactly what it is before they get to it. "Oh, that's ice cream! Let's get it!"

We skidded our way through Mrs. Pottt's and into the Seven Dwarf's Mine, which is a little outdoor / indoor shop. More like a patio.

And wouldn't you know it... Snow White ride had literally no wait during the down pour so we decided to hit her up for some scary adventures. It's quite bigger than Disneyland's version and actually has an ending. But I didn't find it as scary.

The 7pm sunday closing time was looming upon us (rant: what the heck is up with the 7pm closing on a sunday? this is rediculous. no wonder people find that they can't even find enough time to do everything they want to do... because disney controls your schedule! they close MK early so you can have dinner at downtown disney and spend more there! or maybe go to extra evening hours at another park... the same park that everyone else is herded to also! Where's the options to do what you want, WHEN you want! You pay more per day and yet they force you go where they want you to go. you THINK you have options but you really don't. When you're on property... you're ON property and it kinda bites sometimes. Especially if it's 2am in the morning and NOTHING is open. end rant) (edit: i realize after writing my rant that they closed early for the Mickey's Halloween Party. But my rant still stands! hehehe) so we decided to try Stitch's Great ES-CA-PE.

The robot voiced by Richard Kind (aka Molt in bug's life, lost suv tourist in cars)

The verdict? Well.. i remember a day when I loved a chili dog smell. But this attraction is just a waste of time and energy. I love the use of animatronics to tell a story but it's awkardly mixed with 2D drawn introductions and you just wonder what exactly are we supposed to be thinking?? Are we all toons? Are they real?

I liked the way the lasers moved around and followed stitch but yah... this is terrible. They'd be better off making a motion simulator or dark ride with stitch spaceships.

And to wash that taste out of our mouths, we wanted to hit up on MILF.

With a wait time that said "10 minutes", it was actually 20, and that really bummed me out because it quite literally held us over until 7pm. So we had no chance to ride anything else.

So what do I think of MILF? Well... it's cute. It's definitely aimed a lot lower than your usual disney attraction but with the right audience participation, it could be enjoyable. Of course... it helps if the jokes are good too! Ours... were kinda bland. I'm not in a hurry to do it again but if someone really wanted to see it, I could do it.

And with that, it was pouring rain again, people were crowding the park for the halloween party, and it was time to go. Had dinner back at Port Orleans and finally got back to our rooms.

One of my favorite Herb Ryman paintings for New Orleans Square is hanging in every room. I wish I could get one of these for myself!

It wasn't long before I was out like a light. I don't know how I was awake for a solid 2 days and survived a theme park, but I did it. Stay tuned for Day 2 adventures!!

This is just the way Disneylanders are used to looking at Disney parks.

Disneyland is so compact that the themeing is all in the details. Without the minute details Disneyland would make a lot less sense. So when us Disneylanders look at WDW we automatically look at the minute details -- something that is not as necessary to those that were weened off of WDW.

And Coheteboy these are all the best pics. I feel as though I was there!

    Thanks for posting them!
