I guess some photos are out of the cast preview for this so-called "new" parade:
I don't want to say it, but I'm disappointed from a creative/design point of view. They use the term "new", and as usual, it ends up being basically the same floats with some redecoration, rearrangement, and what at least looks like a good refurb to them. They look nicely freshed up, but again, the same old same old. A few new floats in there, but they don't seem account to much.
Again, I am only judging it on these photos and from a visual point of view...once video and more come out then I can judge the overall presentation.
I do give them credit for freshening up a classic, yet tired, parade in some way...but it is so obvious they could do so much better.
Perhaps over the course of several more years, they will replace certain float units with newly designed ones, but who knows.
They need to STOP using the word "new" if this is all they are going to do. Perhaps "re-imagined" or something like that is better...but truly "new" in every sense of the word is not what this or the DDCTP is.
I expected more new floats, a new and more cohesive design, and even newly designed costumes.
I expect the Magic Kingdom and Disney to do so much better than this.
