Re: New Pre-Show for Laugh Floor

The Laugh Floor is amusing, a good diversion on a hot day. It really depends on who the comedians are in the background as to how good the show is. I've been to 3 showings, one which was so funny I hurt laughing, and one that was barely mildly amusing.

I really enjoy the laugh floor, I am glad to see there is a new pre-show! When i visited in the summer, we went there twice! The technology amazes me as well. I look forward to seeing it again

Re: New Pre-Show for Laugh Floor

I actually worked on Laugh Floor... and I was very skeptical about the quality of the show in the beginning. My complaints while working on it were:

    1. It needs recognizeable characters from the film.
    2. Get rid of Mike's song routine. (Mike used to do a song before the show)
    3. Any lines that happen in every show, needed specific facial animation rather than allowing the voice recognition do it.
    4. It needs to be funnier.

They have done quite a lot to improve it. I visited the parks in September and was very happy to see the changes. It is much funnier than the initial scripts. Mike's song is gone, and they added custom facial animation to scripted lines. With the new banners and a new (hopefully better) pre-show, I am sure this an even stronger attraction.

The only thing I would change about it at this point, is add more monsters from the film.

I can't wait to visit it again!

My opinion: Best way to improve it is bring back the Timekeeper!

Or any circle vision based attraction for that matter! Or has the proliferation of IMAX theaters just killed the medium?

I also wonder why they couldn't bring back an updated mission to Mars or the moon simulation back to replace the Stitch attraction? With the underfunded ambitious goal of colonizing the Moon and Mars in the next century those attractions have a new lease on life and fit much better into the tomorrowland theme. Who knows, given the historical collaborations between Disney and NASA we could wind up with something really close to what is actually being planned. I know Mission Space has Mars covered for now but who says you can't have two rides to Mars?

Sorry, but there is not one "circle vision" show that has made me want to view it more than once. The timekeeper was not that entertaining. The best part of the show was the animatronic robot.

Back to the subject of the thread, thanks for detailing the new additions! I watched this two weeks ago without those additions and from reading it, iti sounds like it would add more to the overall experience.

It's a cute attraction... probably better for Disney MGM Studios than Tomorrowland.

Exactly what I thought, considering the park's desperate need for attractions as well as having a dedicated Pixar Place.
