He is essentially the force behind all of Animal Kingdom. It was his vision to have it built to the standards that it was.

Officially, his title is Executive Designer and VP, Creative Walt Disney Imagineering.

He is the lead designer of Animal Kingdom. I am totally in awe of that, he's very talented.

Wasn't he also on the Travel channel show, The making of Animal Kingdom?
I so remember his cool ear, full of metal!

Thanks for posting the wonderful photos Denise . . . I can't wait to eat there.

I love the decor. So much to look at, it is going to take several visits to take it all in. I can't wait to go there in January.

Thanks, Denise, for so many great photos. You did not disappoint, covering it from every angle. Love being able to read the menus. I can't thank you enough for giving me my WDW fix o' the week!

I didn't see it, but no show (or book) about the park would be complete without him. I bet he was a very big part of the Travel Channel show! There is also a book, "The Making of Animal Kingdom" which I have, which his wife (Melody Malmberg) wrote. I'm not sure if Disney really even sells it anymore or not, it came out around the time the park opened.

Thank you Lu! There really is a lot to see, I didn't know you were coming back in January! The restaurant is worth visiting, whether eating there or not.

I love the avatar photo too.

Yes, he was on that show. And I don't like that ear thing - very weird, and I'm always worried that he'll either knock himself out with it or his earlobe will rip through!

I have to say, it's VERY distinctive. If you weren't sure it was him when seeing his face, you know it's him by seeing the ear decor.
