    Lights of Winter Epcot Photos

This was my first time trying to get Lights of Winter photos, so hopefully these are okay. I'll be going back when it's less crowded, yesterday was pretty packed (and an Extra Magic evening, so people weren't leaving as quickly).

I have about 100 photos from yesterday here:

And a few larger (as long as my free Photobucket account holds out this month!)

I mentioned that briefly on the site - they are in one of the England windows.

Nice pics - again. I need to go to EPCOT and see what their decorations are like in person. How were the crowds?

    Hi Matt!

Thanks! Very busy yesterday, I did a lot of roaming about waiting for the crowds to disperse a bit. Next week should be much better, you'll do better waiting through the holiday weekend.

I expect to get more in about 2 weeks. Yesterday was a zoo, but I did expect that. I did forget it was the EMH evening, which meant that more people were out and about - I stayed until 11, and it was slower, but not as empty as I'd have liked. And because there were still numerous photopass CM's all over the area, it was impossible to attempt certain angles. I wouldn't go on an EMH again, unless I was planning to stay there an hour past closing.

During the Halloween and Christmas parties they have numerous CM's checking wristbands. I have seen them ask people to leave many times. Did you have a wristband for the EMH or was nobody looking? I'm just curious to see how they enforce EMH for hotel guests only. Thanks.

Normally when I've gotten checked for a wristband (when I have gone to EMH a few times), it was as I got onto rides. I have never been asked otherwise. And all I was doing yesterday was taking photos, and I didn't get asked.

I was taking pictures on a non-EMH day until nearly 11 previously at Epcot (when the park normally closes at 9), and left before being asked to. I liked that better, since most people were leaving. On a busy day, I'd not go to an EMH evening for photos again - I had a lot more waiting around, and the crowds never fully left before I did. But if I wanted to be out until 2am, it would have been fine.

Thanks for the info. I have often thought about hanging around during EMH to take pictures and I thought the only time I would be asked to show my wristband is if I tried to ride something. Thanks for confirming that.

That has been my experience thus far! I didn't see anyone checking wristbands where I was yesterday, I am not sure if it'd be feasible for them to do it anywhere but around the attractions all evening.

You do not need a wristband and do not need to be a WDW resort guest to stay in a park during EMHs at night.

The wristband is only used to determine you are a resort guest to ride/experience the attractions. If you want to stay and shop or dine or drink and give the Mouse your money, he'll gladly take it. And if you just want to walk around soaking up the atmosphere, working off some calories or taking pics of the park, you can do so without getting tossed out ...

    Hi Denise!
I really like the frogs, especially the little hats!
Exellent photos as always, Epcot is my favourite park and will be the first one we visit during our trip, the lights and decorations look amazing!

You should stop by the England pavillion, the windows are really neat there! Glad you liked the photos.

Epcot is my favorite park, though the MK really outdid itself this year for Christmas too!
