MGM; Osborne FSODL Photos and Video

With nothing to do on Sunday the girls and I were trying to figure out what to do with our day. When asked, I got the standard response, "Disney!" Who was I to argue?

Should you wish to see all the photos I took that day, please visit HERE.

Well hello MGM, how I will miss your signage. LOL

I was most excited to see the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, as I had never seen them before I couldn't wait to experience it.

Would you like a Coke miss?

He won't give it up mom!

Oh my! I can't even imagine how much that rent would be. LOL

It was a BEAUTIFUL day, slight breeze, perfect temperature, the crowds were bad but that was to be expected.

While my oldest was in line for RnRc, C and I opted for some tattoos. FYI, they only take cash now.

It seemed that my daughter was taking a little longer than I expected, so we did a little shopping while we waited.

Afterwards we ran over to the Fantasmic Courtyard to see High School Musical 2, it had been moved there temporarily due to the New Years stage in front of the hat.

They had to cut off the crowd because we got to full.

C got to play the bucket! LOL

They ushered us out after the show and we ended up right at the exit of ToT where I found a secret (to me) path that I never knew existed! It was a cool break from the crowds with great views and it acted like a kind of wind tunnel, but in a good way. I'll have to remember this for later.

About that time we got hungry so we headed over to the ABC Commissary. It seems Anna had a little trouble with a gator. See, they do exist!

ABC has now taken to naming their meals after their popular shows. I had a Dancing With the Stars with a side of Desperate Housewives.

After we ate we headed over to the Streets of America to get our place for the light switch flipping ceremony (say that three times fast lol.) While we waited Christina thought it would be funny to play Frogger through the crowds. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to tape it. LOL

As we drew close to turning on the lights, the most unusual thing happened. IT SNOWED!!

Then the handpicked family did their job and flipped the switch. The one word that comes to mind after all the lights turned on was, "Festive!" It was so beautiful and to my surprise, I wasn't aware they played the Trans-Siberian Orchestra to the lights, it was an added treat for me! If you have the opportunity I HIGHLY recommend doing this at least once. My photos and video just don't capture what it feels like to stand on that street and have the music blaring around you, even the biggest Scrooge would have to smile.

So I will leave you will my photos and video, I apologize as I didn't have a tripod and the video was taken off my camera but you'll get the idea.

    Enjoy!

That's some pretty fine hand held camear work there, Summer! I wish I had experienced either of those Trans Siberian Orchestra pieces when I was there 3 weeks ago. But what I got was a really annoying Barbra Steisand version of Jingle Bells. It didn't work for me at all. The lights were still cool, though!
