I haven't ridden the ending since it changed over (last week). So I can't say anything about it yet!

The ending is cute, not sure if it's way beyond other technology etc. but the kids really got a kick out of it....

we were at the YC form the 15-22nd and we did this ride and they didnt have this face thing when we were there

Well, you know I've always wanted with SSE, you know the classic, serious attraction that is the centerpiece of the entire Epcot center....I've always wanted to have a JibJab cartoon at the end, I mean what fits better?

I've also always wanted to watch a classic movie like Ben-Hur, but with Britney Spears singing during the ending credits...fits just as well.

That is way too cartoony and kiddie looking for Spaceship Earth. Coming in 2010, Spaceship Earth with the Playhouse Disney Characters.

I rode the new ending today and while it is a slight improvement over the old video with generic characters (which can still be seen when there is a single rider in a seat), the fact remains the surrounding areas as you decend look unfinished and quite unsightly. So NO, this does not improve the ending much. A little bit more color and special effects (besides plain old curtains of twinkling fiber optic points of lights) would have been a nicer touch.

While I do admit the super-imposing if the pictures is good for a laugh, that doesn't change the fact that SSE still needs a stronger finale period.

Yeah, but I guess thats how low people's standards have gotten for Epcot attractions, if they don't add anything to it.

Not mine. When I saw video of the new version of SSE, I was expecting to be blown away with some kind of ever-changing AA display based on the popular majority's choices of a certain section of the train that would be swapped out either with turn-tables synched to the train's movement or by the use of pepper ghost effects, a la Haunted Mansion. I guess that's dreaming too big for their budget.
