    Fine Dining recommendations

So with 7 days of the dining plan, I need your top 7 pics for our "fine" dining choices.

Particularly helpful to include at least one per park.

We are definitely going to do O'hana at least once.

Also, how about 7 pics for counter service?

We will probably do 2 days at each park, but maybe
    2 Epcot
    2 Magic
    2 Animal
1 Hollywood (not much to see here and not our favorite park)
    1 ?

As for fine dining Le Cellier at Canada in Epcot is GREAT. For counter service try Flame Tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom.

    Re: Fine Dining recommendations

Restaurants I personally like very much:

    Teppan Edo
    Boma
    Ohana
    Yachtsman
    Trails End (NOT fine dining)
    Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch
    Kona Cafe
    Raglan Road
Yak and Yeti is decent too
Tusker House buffet has had pretty good reviews

I wasn't happy with my Le Cellier experiences in September (after many, many years of enjoying it).

    Counter service:

    Pepper Market
    Pop Century
Sunshine Seasons (if on the dining plan)
    The Mara
DisneyQuest Express (Cheesecake Factory - Yummy!)
    Earl of Sandwich
    Wolfgang Puck Express
    Cookes of Dublin

Go to the pizza place in AK... they have a great chicken parm sandwich.
    And Le Cellier!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

    Re: Fine Dining recommendations

I definitly agree with O'hana and Le Cellier at EPCOT for fine dining.

For counter service I'd recommend Sci-Fi Dine-In at MGM. I mean, Hollywood! We had a fabulous waiter and the movie clips were funny.

    Re: Fine Dining recommendations

I am not sure that most restaurants here would really be "fine" dining, not fancy anyway. Fine would be more like the California Grill and Brown Derby. But there are a lot of nice restaurants on Dis property.

It's been a while since I have been! I did go to the Brown Derby for the Imagineer lunch, and the food was very good. Presentation was fantastic, it was hard to eat something so beautifully prepared.

I put a word in for Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge. It's such a fun place.

Boma at the AKL is a great place too.

    Re: Fine Dining recommendations

Le Cellier was my most favorite dining experience at WDW. If you can get reservations, I say go for it. The service and food were better than anywhere else we ate on our trip.

I wouldn't waste my time on California Grill again. The food was ok, but lukewarm. Service was horrible! It was by far the worst service we had at WDW from any Cast Member. The guy was a total snob. The bartender sucked at making drinks too.

Table Service I would do again:
    Le Cellier
    Chefs de France
    Sci-Fi Dine In
Rose & Crown (the pork tenderloin was so good, but the salad stole my heart)
Jiko - sit at the Cooking Place

Counter Service I would do again:
    Earl of Sandwich
    Flame Tree BBQ
    Boulangerie
    Tangerine Cafe

We had drinks at Flying Fish on the Boardwalk and the food looked good.
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.

    Re: Fine Dining recommendations

You never know on servers. When I dined in September, I had a pretty bad server at Le Cellier for dinner (friendly, but not good at waiting tables) and then a fantastic one for lunch there. Neither meal was anything to write home about - not if I wanted to write something nice. Well, except for the 2nd server, he was truly exceptional.

My very worst server anywhere was at Artist Point about 10 years ago. Yesterday we had a nice but inefficient server at the Liberty Tree. Also a very good server at Yak and Yeti on Tuesday. But you never know - it doesn't matter the restaurant, you can get good and bad service anywhere. I ended up with a free meal over the Artist Point experience, I almost didn't go back because I didn't want a repeat performance.

And you can get a bad meal anywhere. I'll wait for quite some time before going back to Le Cellier. Maybe after they change chefs again.

Nobody has mentioned "Jiko" at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. This is one great restaurant. And the food is certainly top notch. They have the best wine list in all of North America. Many awards for this superb restaurant.

We had a great evening at Contemporary but that may be because we were seated in the wine room. Fast service and attentive staff. We had a great view of the Electrical Water pagenat and then, of course, the Wishes fireworks over MK.

And Flame tree BBQ when you're in AK. Make sure you go right to the tables at the bottom by the lily pond. Wonderful atmosphere and lotrs of exotic birds.
Now I'll turn that little mouse's dream into a nightmare Fantasmic !
