Re: California Girl Meets World (and here's her trip report)

Continue of Day 2 in Magic Kingdom

So being first timers we didn't really know the lay of the land.

    What's this place?

Oh this would be Liberty Square...yeah but where's New Orleans Square!?!?

Alright I likin this building. I preferred this Haunted Mansion to ours.

This sign over on Tom Sawyers Island made me giggle because really I'm five.

Look it's a fort and its open! It wasn't really exciting...well it was to me because there was a bathroom and guns that made a shooting sound so you can stage war on Big Thunder.

So there were two on going series of pictures. This would be the first of the series that my mom took called "DisneyGal Sitting". As the trip went on, the more sitting that took place. It was sad that I needed to sit more than my mom. I had to wrap one ankle; I'm not too good at the walking thing.

The second series of photos were ones that I took of lights. I just thought that they were photographically interesting.

For the Disneylanders that miss the Swiss Family Tree House:

    Adventureland

I stalked Captain Jack Sparrow later that trip. I loved that they had the music playing from the movies in the area around the attraction.

Jungle Cruise was basically the same except for when you went into this temple type place which totally threw me off.

    Continuation of the lamp series

In Fantasyland...looking and looking for It's a Small World. Huh what's this, oh its inside of a building.

    Loading Area

Here is my pride and joy. I carried around a small tripod all day just to get this picture. I only had one chance to get it right. I set up the tripod on a trash can but I had forgotten my shutter release so I had to use the timer and the shutter had to stay open for the light. So we stood on the sides of the trash can to make sure no one passed infront of it. I was pleased with it, it makes me happy hehe.

I'm glad that someone shares my sense of humor.

A little addition that I thought that I would throw in to day two. I didn't like it at first but it started growing on me. This is the only picture that I have alterated that I have posted so far (cropping, removing a spot in the sky).

There's three more days and two more parks left to cover so stay tuned.

P.S.- Thank you everyone for your kind words. I love looking at all the beautiful pictures that are posted on MiceChat in the trip reports and just wanted to contribute.

Great pictures, Disney Gal. Did you see WDW oringal attractions such as the Hall of Presidents and Mickey's PM.

We did the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular which was a lot different then I was lead to believe. Here's a question that I have about it though...Had the show ever been in an enclosed building? Its just that I thought that I had seen video where it was within a building but its outside. For those that haven't been its a stunt show that also shows how they do it.
No it's always been the way it is. The audience and part of the set (mainly the 1st scene) is under a roof, but it's really all open air. The last 2 scenes are more out in the open since there's much flamage. I got picked to be an extra once and let me tell you when that jeep flips & explodes in the 2nd scene, it is HOT!

Yes, I visited both of these attraction. The Hall of Presidents was an interesting experience. I would have to say that all of the AA presidents was extremely interesting to be...to see all of the leaders of our country together (even though they were only AA's) was amazing. But Mickey's PM was outstanding. Both my mom and I loved it and we should have gone on it again because it was such a great show.

Thank you for answering my question. I bet being an extra was a fun experience!

Yeah after short periods of walking, every step is painful but its Disney World and every step is worth it. It turned into a game for my mom because every time she turned around I had found a place to sit.

    Day 3- The Hotel

Even though we stayed in the hotel every night, I'm just posting the order that I took them.

So we stayed in the Port Orleans- French Quarter which I enjoyed greatly. The grounds were beautiful and all you had to do was jump on a boat to get to Downtown Disney which was great when you want to grab a bite to eat.

The exterior on the back side of the lobby.

An addition to the light series.

    Inside of the lobby.

    From the front.

Here we are on the way to the bus stop. This is where we got picked up each morning for our next adventure.

Had to start the day with a good bench sit.

Crap in a hat, you even stayed at the same hotel I did a few months back!

The weather looked great for your photos! I had great looking weather the first two days and then it was muggy and cloudy the rest of the week.

I rather not crap in a hat but if you insist. It was beautiful weather most of the day, I hadn't packed for the warm weather. Except for most evenings where it would have a warm rain which was odd for this Californian.
