But I see no chatter about it here on Mice Chat. Are we that unimpressed with them bringing it back again this year, right down to the same fireworks show? Or is nobody just plan not able to go because of real life obligations?

I went last year, and didn't have a need to go running back. I don't like that they have extended it to half a year.
My favorite part of the evening was how slow it was. I expect that things have picked up since my visit last February.![]()
Yeah I went last August and it was kind of cool, but not something I feel like repeating. Plus they raised the price since last year too.
I want to go but the last one is a few days before I get there... My monkies would love it!
I went on Monday night. The park was empty. I have many pictures to post but I have not had any time. They should be in my January update thread by Monday the 28th.
The fireworks show was awesome.
The party does not have the special "feel" that MNSSHP and MVMCP have, but it is still fun.
The one I went to in August, it POURED! So the crowds were very minimal. I did the teacups 3 times in a row as it was a total walk-on. Practically everything was a walk-on because the rain scared everyone away.
I find it funny how most people on YouTube are praising this as one of the best hard-ticket events at the MK, but most of those who replied in this thread don't find it worth a second visit for one reason or another.
Can anyone supply any commentary on that?

I don't care about Pirates or Princesses?
It's nice having an empty park, which is why I bought tickets last year. And the fireworks were great. The parade, not that good (IMHO). They also gave a very small amount of candy, not really worth stopping for.
I like the Halloween party atmosphere much better. The parade, the fireworks, everything.
I was working at the one on Saturday night. Most of the guests seemed to enjoy it, but it definitely wasn't like the Halloween and Christmas parties. Still, no one seemed unhappy and several guests said they went just for the short lines at the attractions. A lot of people left fairly early because of the rain, though.
I didn't go to the preview parade and I was on break during Saturday's parade so I still haven't seen the parade yet. I picked up an extra shift Tuesday night and I'm hoping I'll get the tipboard cart during the fireworks since I can't afford to buy party tickets and I can't see the fireworks from inside the Confectionery (where I work when I'm not working extra hours). I was working tipboard cart on one of the nights they did the New Years fireworks, but they rotated me out just before the fireworks started.

Harry,
Try watching the fireworks from the Polynesian or the Contemporary. I watched them from both locations and inside the park during the party's run in August. It really is a wonderful show if you can watch it - even if from across the lagoon.
Overall I enjoyed myself (despite the rain) but it just can't compare to Halloween! Maybe as the party continues to grow it will create a larger repeat attraction for some of us.

Because we're all "Been there, done that" with this party.
I think it'd be fun to go to. I also agree with denise that it's aimed at the Pirate/Princess fans, which none of us seem to be![]()
No words, My tears won't make any room for more,
And it don't hurt, like anything I've ever felt before, this is
No broken heart,
No familiar scars,
This territory goes uncharted...
I haven't been but I budget out my Disney trips very carefully and this party is just close enough to the Halloween party that it makes me choose between both. I still have the ticket from last year, I wonder if they will let me apply the amount to a new ticket this year since I never got to go? LOL
I would like to see it at least once but from what I'm gathering, most here have been there, done that, don't need to go again. That's unfortunate mainly because I heard the events were really successful.
