Sloooow evening at the MK tonight!

I met up with a friend tonight at the MK - it was spur of the moment, he often takes photos at the parks too. It was an incredible evening - everything pretty much a walk-on. After what seemed like a very busy January, it was nice not having to wait for anything! We had our own boat for Pirates - not only that, but there weren't any people in boats front or back of us (within about 5 boats either way!)

I didn't take any photos at all this evening, it was fun to just hang out. Thunder Mountain and Space were also pretty much walk-ons.

I keep hoping that a position will open up with the University system I teach at in Orlando and I can transfer down there. Tallahassee is just too far for a quick drive to Disney.

It was really fun! And I was expecting it to be busier - so that was quite a treat to do whatever we wanted without lines.

KCNole - I hope you get your wish to move here! Orlando isn't perfect, but I do love the proximity to Disney (I wish I was even a little closer, though).

It wasn't busy on Tuesday night either. We popped in just before the fireworks and there was no one there. I'm assuming they all got drenched earlier in the day and went home, but the park is so amazing with only a handful of people roaming around at night.

It really is a fun park when it's not busy. It didn't rain too much yesterday, so I'm not sure what the reason was. It is still the value-season time, but January (to me) was busier than ever. Not horrible, but brisk. Maybe there is a lull in international tourism right now.

The volcano pool at the Poly just went down for rehab.

My folks went to Downtown Disney today. I asked my dad how busy it was and he said it really wasn't busy there at all. When I went to Downtown Disney on a Thursday a few weeks ago it was a lot busier than expected for a weekday in late January.
