Offical Name of Disney MGM Studios/Disney's Hollywood Studios?

Okay you history buffs out there. I know the park has changed names in 2008...But back in the day--does anyone know the OFFICIAL and formal name for Disney-MGM Studios? Is it just that, or did it have Park on the end? (I don't think it was Theme Park, cause DAK was the only one I could find that used that term on the end). Thanks for your help....

I believe that when it opened that was the name. As that is the name on the dedication plaque at the end of Hollywood Blvd.

I think it's kind of funny that after all those years of hating having to use the "Theme Park" tag with Disney-MGM...the company now seems to like tagging it on to its other Parks.

The Official name on opening day "Disney-MGM Studios Theme Park". DAK's working name was "Disney's Wild Animal Kingdom" but the "wild" was dropped before opening day due to similaritites with Mutual of Omaha's TV show's name. Epcot was always "EPCOT Center", and The MK, was just that, even if some people still believe it's name is "WDW".

I think the official opening day title was "I can't believe tourists will lay down $50 for a park with 2 rides"
