Rainforest Cafe

Haven't been to WDW since 1999. I seem to remember the Rainforest Cafe being right outside of Animal Kingdom. Do I remember correctly? Some friends of ours who live in the area are going to try to meet us for dinner or dessert one night and I am looking for convenient places to meet that don't require park entrance.

You are correct, but perhaps a resort might be an easier place to meet. With the parking and all. And if you're meeting for food, then you can definately do better

Why not go to Boma at the AKL? (I would do anything to avoid the RC!) Of course, you can't just do drinks there.

Boma ranks as one of my favorites at WDW

More importantly The RFC at AK might close early, the one in downtown Disney stays open much later. But I agree Boma's or one of the other resort restaurants would be your best bet as transportation for you and parking for them would be a lot easier.

Yeah - I was just a bit worried about getting our reservation for Boma changed from 3 people to 5 people when we are less than a week out. Just looking for some convenient alternatives. If we meet at the RF it probably will just be for drinks/dessert.

Good point about the parking though too. Hadn't thought about that. Meeting up at Pop Century might be a better option from a parking standpoint. Of course, since it will be the end of the day there should be parking available by that time....

Parking is 11.00, but you should just call 407-WDW-Dine and see if you can add 2 places.

There's also Jiko which has the most amazing deserts. If you're just looking for drinks and deserts, you may want to try them instead of the buffet. I'd HIGHLY recommend the lemon curd.
