Weather and crowds first part of May

Taking the family out for there first trip to WDW and was wondering what the weather and the crowds will be like?

I have been out before in Jan, Sept and Oct, which time of the year would it be closest to?

I depends on if you were there in Sept and Oct with free dining or not. It's during the Flower and Garden Festival so the crowds can peak, especially at Epcot and on the weekend days. The weather should be fairly do-able, but a bit warmer... probably closest to Sept.

Weather is usually very nice. Worst part of May is the Love Bugs are out and they can really be annoying.

I like May a lot - usually not as warm as summer, especially earlier in the month.

I would probably put the weather closer to September, and the crowds more like October (event crowds). Though really, October is a much larger convention month and the Food and Wine Festival can get scary-crowded on weekends. So maybe a little less than October.

I'll be there the middle of may for a few days. I like the warm, but not overly hot weather (but sometimes it can be a hotter than usual day and you'll see temps int he 90's in May... there's even days like that in late October). Weather usually cooperates too but you never know when those crazy Florida storms might spring up.

There will definitely be 3 people there, guaranteed!

And there will definitely be weather of some sort. But as of today, I can't predict what kind.

a certain touring website that I visit has a crowd calendar. It is a scale of 1-10 ( 10 being the most crowded). For the first week in May, the 1st and the 5th are 7's and the rest of the week is either a 5 or six. That is good considering October has 7 and 8's. Send me a PM if you want to know any other dates. I will be there the 10-21 of May!

we went the first week of May last year. And the weather was GREAT! Nice and cool in the morning, and warmer in the afternoon. The crows though...kinda sucked. We were there for 9 days, and were blown away by the crowds. They weren't July crowds, but, there was more than we expected. It was our second trip to the parks other than MK, our first being in Sept. And when we went in Sept, we didn't wait in line for ANYTHING at Mgm, Epcot, or Ak. So, I guess that didn't prepare us. We went thinking that was the norm. but, we were wrong. We waited in line for EVERYTHING. We waited 30 mins for Everest, and the line was SO long for Soarin...we only rode once the whole trip.


So, be prepared for lines.

I've been there last time in May 06 and the crowds were OK. no big problem. The weather was great, with sun all days and even hot.

This year I will be there, from 6th till 10th may. looking forward to it again
