Animal Kingdom Lodge construction

I'm sure there's a thread about this somewhere, but I wasn't able to find it. Sorry about that!

Anyways, we're planning a vacation in July and we're leaning towards staying in DAKL. My dad really wants a resort where it's easy to kick back and relax, and I've been wanting to stay there ever since I worked there. Is the construction anything to worry about? Does it affect views/quiet? Anything else I should be aware of?

We stayed at AKL at the end of January and we could see the constructions from our balcony but the noise never once bothered us. We still saw animals out. If you were on the other side you would not even see the construction so it would all depend on where your room is....

Okay, thank you! I wasn't sure if it'd be a problem, and then I saw someone saying that it wasn't the best time to stay there in another thread.

Call the front desk directly prior to your trip and again the day before and request a room on the opposite end of the lodge away from the construction. If you make this clear up front most of the deluxe resorts will generally do whatever they can to accommodate your requests. If they refuse, I'd suggest maybe trying the Wilderness lodge as an alternative, I have never had a bad stay there and the layout is basically the same except its just the "native" animals. (mostly Ducks and deer)
