    Beastly Kingdom Around the Corner?

Well, with Universal announcing the Rock it Ride thing and if Disney wants to compete can we be expecting Beastly Kingdom or a major attraction/land? The Rock It Ride will surely bring in more crowds along with Simpsons and Potter. American Idol and TSM might not be enough to compete.

    Your Thoughts?

I don't think Disney has to compete. They are what Universal is trying to live up to. I think this is a futile attempt for Universal to gain some little piece of what Disney has. I may be wrong...but, we've spent tons of days at Disney.....and one at Universal. I have NO desire to go back. It was a waste of money/time.

I don't think Disney is worried about Universal. They maybe more concerned with the idea of DAK and DHS being 1/2 day parks. Beastly Kingdomme would certainly boost single day passes

The onlly talk I've heard isn't too new. There is a possibility of
expanding Star Wars prensence in Disney's Hollywood Studios Park,
along with the lonnnnnnngggggggggg awaited update to Star Tours.

The problem though is that Disney has been following the Universal model more and more. When Universal commits to it, they do some amazing work (The Amazing Spider-Man, Dueling Dragons queue, Men In Black: Alien Attack).

Take a look at the Animal Kingdom logo. Notice that dragon? Beastly Kingdom (or Beastlie Kingdomme) was the original design for the area know known as Camp Minnie-Mickey. It was supposed to be home to mythical animals such as dragons and unicorns. There was even a dragon inhabited cave along Discover River seen from the river boats, and is a dragon shaped spring visible from the bridge to Camp Minnie-Mickey.

Widen Your World has some pictures. A Google search should bring up even more.

okay, Spidey was a cool ride. Men in Black sucked....I liked Buzz better. And while hubby liked DD, I disliked waiting on him....with all those creepy Wizards, warriors and ladies roaming around me. Not enough to make us want to go back.

I'm really hoping Disney loses guests to Universal when Potter and Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit opens. (Universal, couldn't you come up with a less clumsy name?)

If Disney loses lots of guests to Universal, they'll have to come back with something excellent and big.
