When I went on the behind the scenes tour at the Magic Kingdom, it was right after the fatal "parade accident" ... so they replaced that float backstage area of the tour with the Hall of Presidents... wow... that really made up it.
I think everyone sleeps through American Adventure at some point in their lives. It's a function of being situated at the far, far end of Epcot - it's the furthest point from your parking spot. So when you get there, and you've been walking for literally miles and miles all day, and you see a show, and sink into those giant plush chairs, and the lights go down.... well, it's hard to resist.
“The press [should be] a watchdog. Not an attack dog. Not a lapdog. A watchdog. Now, a watchdog can't be right all the time. He doesn't bark only when he sees or smells something that's dangerous. A good watchdog barks at things that are suspicious.” – Dan Rather
Isn't that the one I slept through? We went because it was raining? I think I sept through the American Adventure too. Thank goodness for long animatronic theatre shows so I can cat nap. I'm not saying that I don't like the shows, just that when you are tired and sitting for a long time in the dark, it is a great place to sleep.
You are correct on all points. I slept more through the Hall of Presidents than American Adventure.
Next time, no red eye.
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.
I love to hate Journey Into Your Imagination with Figment.
Blah..this thing is boring and lame. Even though they brought Figment back after they had changed it, it didn't help. It still sucks. I think the original was better, like AE, one of those rides they should have left well enough alone.
First off, Stitch. Duh. I was a huge fan of AE and them gutting it because it was 'too scary' was just bad. Pirates; Gimme DL or DLP version any day please!
Timekeeper. I prefer the French version. Probably because I was like 7 or 8 the first time I experienced it, even though the headphones sucked and I hate to stand. Hence why I also never liked Circlevision.
Most of World Showcase at Epcot. I don't like the movie after the Maelstrom, I don't like the American Adventure, I don't like the mexican water "ride". Also, I don't like the movie before The Living Seas.
At MGM, the walk thru before you get on the trams at the backlot tour. the movie clips shown before The Great Movie Ride.
At AK, I don't like Dinoland USA, and I have stopped liking Dinosaur after the name change. (CTX 4Ever!)
That's all I can think of now. If I think of more, I'll let you all know.
Funny, I like the clips at the beginning of GMR, but there aren't enough of them. You end up seeing them 2 or 3 times each. It is the clips at the end of the great movie ride that put me to sleep.
I hate Star Tours. I know, I know, we aren't going to get to Endor, enough already. Body Wars, more of the same. Malstrom (is that how it's spelled?) is the strangest mish mash of a ride. Studio Tour totally blows.
