Re: Karla's WDW Questions.

Thank you Barbara, kelly and Aashee!!
I am soooo excited. I am the one wanting to do the down town disney thing the most I want to play on the vertual roller coaster. the kids love the video games, and If I do not have to put quarters into them games I am all for it! we are headinf down very early in the morning during the week so we can play for about 4 hours, I can buy a few things, we can eat then come back and go to the park again.
I have marked down several rides in each park I want to acomplish, then after these are done, go sit on some rides that will cool us down, and or let us rest. I want to see the shows in each park, and the carousel of progress!
I am sad I only get to play 1 week, but who knows, maybe I can add a few days if I come up with more loot
thru the years being here I have heard of these funky soda's people drink there in epcot, riding the expedition everst, see all the rides disney has and compare for my self.
eat at the cool places, and be a kid if only for a short time.
I barely sleep at night thinking of the parks, and all the fun. I know I will be tired, but it will be a good tired.
I love the fact there are shows I can see that get me out of the sun, as I love shows. I see every park has them whoooooo hooooooo so cool.
I wish disney would let us know November park hours so I can plan my days in each park, by the early opens and late openings. oh and I want to start making my dinner reservations . I picked all buffets ( kelly, I will take lots of pics I know you and I love a good buffet
Thank you all for being kind and giving me great info, my trip will be all the better with knowing what to do and what to see.

Re: Karla's WDW Questions.

You should only have to wait another month for the November hours. I know that they let you make your meal reservations 6 months out. I am not sure your exact dates, but that will be coming shortly, for you, if you are traveling in November.

Re: Karla's WDW Questions.

When I go to Downtown Disney, it's usually just for a few hours. But since I'm a local, I really have no need for buying souvenirs anymore for the most part. I do my damage at the Virgin Megastore. I could easily spend hours in there as I can find CDs there I can't find anywhere else (not even Amazon of iTunes).

I hear you, but I have seen the virtual ride on youe tube and it looks so fun. and its a day to go down, relax and just play with out all the walking.
I have to find a place to eat close to the disney quest building so I do not want to walk to far a nice sit down ! ( and hopefully on the dining plan.)

Re: Karla's WDW Questions.

It does appear that there are many dining plan options at Downtown Disney. The Dining Plan does make food planning a little easier. I have only used it once.

It is probably a very good idea to wait for park hours, before you make your dining plans. I am not sure if you are an early riser. I actually like the early morning perk, better than the late night one. Be realistic about taking advantage of the added hours. The body will most likely not want to get up early two days in a row. You may not want to stay up late one night, and then get up early the next day. Your body will rebel, for sure.

I went to DisneyQuest a couple times. It's fun, but not an all day thing for me. Be prepared for a MAJOR workout if you do the Mighty Ducks human pinball game though. First time I played, I won, but I about collapsed as soon as I got off. I needed water BAD!

I am a very early riser. I am up by 6:30 7 days a week. I go to bed around 11:00 at night.
I will do early morning a few times, and maybe 1 night time one. but when the parks go to bed, so will I. it takes 25 minutes it says from the resort to pop century. gosh, bed time should be by 10:00 each night which will be great. I can get everyone up early !

I saw that one, I think I will leave that to Rachal and I think we decided to just go there when we get in the first night. 4 hours I believe will be enough of games. I want to save my days for the parks.

Re: Karla's WDW Questions.

I thoroughly enjoy this thread. It's what's going to finally get me to book our own family vaca to WDW. Reading along as this entire vacation unfolds from start to finish is great entertainment and completely educational. Seeing the plans shift and change. I for one am glad you started it Karla!

You didn't ruin the internet. You are just trying to ruin this thread for reasons unknown. Try another thread that may suit your tastes a little more.

Thank you
I can not wait to hear about your trip plans to WDW, I hope I learn a ton of stuff, and am able to help you on your trip!
I will give a nice trip report when I get back

when I started my trip plans I found out pop warner was going to be there, now we all know cheer leaders can be some what anoying in Disneyland, so when I heard the cheerleaders were going to be in WDW I changed my plans
next I booked during mickeys very merry christmas..... this is a must do for many people, the park closes at 7:00 for regular folk, and for those who pay I believe its 45.00 ( advance ticket) you can stay in the park until midnight, have cookies and hot choclate and see some shows, a cool parade, and so forth. Some people praise this, and if I had already known the park, I may have attempted it. but I decided not to be there when this is going on either.... I heard tell the magic kingdom is very crowded, so hence another date change.
I am not going during christmas time now, but the dates I picked out will work out well. no major event going on, and I hope a bit tamer then when I first booked, and a bit warmer to play in the pool.
I tried to call for my dining reservations yesterday, I have to have my room reservation number. weird, never knew this before... so I have to go see the travel agent for this info so I can start making table reservations. its kind of weird to have to reserve meals 180 days in advance but kind of fun to!!
