Re: Karla's WDW Questions.

question.... do they close the magic kingdom the nights Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is going on? I am trying to find info on what time the park closes, so we can plan on another park that day. does this go on each night in the magic kingdom ?

Re: Karla's WDW Questions.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is another hard-ticket event (i.e.: separate admission required... costs around $45 or so). It's at the Magic Kingdom. There's special shows, parade, fireworks and little goodies... and SNOW! I've never done it and don't plan to as I wish WDW would just make this available for all paying day guests. But of course they'll milk the cash cow for all its worth so....

ANd yes, the MK closes at 7pm to non-party guests the nights of the party. Party guests can start entering at 4pm.

Re: Karla's WDW Questions.

I do not plan to go to it. I am not much into parades etc. I think it is to expensive also. I will just plan on being at another park the day this goes on. are the other parks open later while this is going on?
thanks

Afraid so, they close the park approximately 1 hour prior to the event in the evenings. There's an additional charge to attend. In case your still fluid on the dates the same is true for the MNSSHP and Pirate and Princess events. You can still go durig the day but expect to leave around dinner time to go to another park if you opt not to purchase tickets for the event.

The nice thing about the hard ticket events is they limit the number of tickets so if you have trouble getting to ride some of your favorite rides in the MK during the trip its an option to ride with fewer people in line.

Afraid not, unless there happens to be a scheduled EMH evening event for that park.

MNSSHP = Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. No this will not be going on in December.

Pirate & Princess Party - I don't think this will be happening either.

The only hard ticket event going on in December is Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, which has been explained in detail already.

As for December operating hours, they're not up on WDW's website yet. Might want to check again in another month or 2 as right now they only go through October. And remember that park hours are always subject to change.. save for EPCOT as they always close at 9pm year-round (save for evening EMH, which are Fridays and Christmas & New Year's... I think).

You may want to use the 30 min watercraft, the water mice (small 2 person speedboats) are a lot of fun to jump the wakes in Bay Lake and the 7seas lagoon, you get some great pictures of the entrance to the MK and the resorts that way you cannot get any other way.
