Re: Karla's WDW Questions.

Karla, my boys's favorite restaurants at WDW were:
Liberty Tree Tavern-MK
Sci Fi-Studios
Chef Mickey-Contemporary
Boma-AKL

And my oldest loved Planet Hollywood because of all the memoriblilia. We went there for dinner after DisneyQuest one night.

The one we all wanted to go to but never got a chance was 'Ohana at the Poly

Make sure and go to www.allearsnet.com for all the menus.

Re: Karla's WDW Questions.

Hi Karla,

I'd recommend Sci-Fi studios as well. We LOVED it. Food was reasonable and good and the service was the best we recieved there. Have fun!

Re: Karla's WDW Questions.

It's very easy to get to the MK from the Contemporary(where Chef Mickey's is) you can even walk over to the MK after eating there. Our first trip there we did breakfast at Chef Mickey's then walked over to the MK afterwards and they boys got their hair cut on Main street. It was so much fun and a nice break from riding rides.

Planet Hollywood & Disney Quest are at Downtown Disney. There are buses that go between the resort hotels and both sides of DTD.

1. Yes, but it is called Tommorowland Transit Authority.
2. You are going to have to explore some of the maps on your own. Also, each of the four parks is different. Which park are you asking the question about?

I am doing my best to understand and learn the maps. there is so much there. I was talking abut the magic kingdom. I saw people going by on top like the people mover that was in disneyland years ago.( a video) thanks for letting me know what its called i can now go look it up
I want to thank you guys for answering my questions and not being mean about it. some times people tend to be short or snotty and since my memory is not to sharp now, ( long story ) I really am trying to get info and keeping a small note pad with the parks seperatly marked so I can use all this wondeful info you give me as a guide to take with me.
this is a real big trip for me, since disneyland was a huge undertaking from someone living in a small town who did not ever go places, walt disney world is huge. but I am sure, with info, and insight ( and much writing it down) I can do this and do it with out stress.
again, all of you thank you!!!

1. Psst, we still call it the People Mover, don't care what the sign says.
2. The train stops in three places, Main Street, Frontierland and Toontown. Not quite as many as DL but there are still some.

There are no shuttles in the parks Karla, it's true the parks are larger than Disneyland but it's not THAT horrible. I can walk an entire day at any of the parks, as long as I pace myself, with minimal pain.

Also, there are many modes of transportation, it all depends on where you are going. For example, should you wish to go from the MK to the Contemporary you have 3 choices, boat, monorail or walk.

Here is a photo that shows how close the Contemporary is to the MK. (I took the photo from Astro Orbiter in TL)There is a monorail that circles the entire lake and stops and 3 different hotels, Contemporary, Polynesian and the Grand Floridian.

I'd hate to see you miss out on some EXCELLENT dining experiences, when traveling through out the world is very straight forward, and if you aren't sure, ask Guest Relations, they can point you in the right direction.

I am looking at doing this resturant the first night we go to Magic kingdom,
but need another sit down for another night... what do you sugest?
I've eaten at the Crystal Palace a few times and I've always liked it. Plus the Pooh characters come visit while you eat. If you go, be sure to try the banana bread pudding for dessert... DELISH!

I liked 50's Prime Time Cafe at the Studios. Perfect if you like comfort food/mom's cooking.

I haven't done many sit-down restaurants at WDW. I do the counter services places 90% of the time.

As others have mentioned, it's called Tomorrowland Transit Authority now.

Agreed. I usually do 2 parks in one day (but I'm an old commando that's been visiting WDW for 30 years). As long as you have good walking shoes, you shouldn't have problems. Just remember to go at your own pace and rest every now and then. Don't push yourself.

The Monorail also has a line that goes from the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC) to EPCOT. The TTC is in MK's parking lot. From the TTC, you can go to the Magic Kingdom via ferryboat across the lagoon or the Express Monorail. Or you can take the Resort Monorail if you want to explore the hotels around the lagoon.

As long as we're educating people on the proper names of things (like the Tomorrowland Transit Authority), I may as well point out the TTC is really the Transportation and Ticket Center. Thirty year veteran what?

But it's the Ticket and Transportation Center to ticket people.
