Today, Earth Day 4/22/08, is Disney's Animal Kingdom's 10th anniversary.

It's been a most memorable first 10 years at this most excellent WDW park.
Here's wishing DAK many many more wild, fun and "beastly" years in the future... and may you grow and expand and continue to be the very best theme park Disney ever opened in FL.

I love this park! The more we visit it, the more we grow to love it. Dustysage gave us a guided tour last year and took us down many of the walkways that we had never seen before. I'm sure there is much left to explore here. Anyone who calls this a "half day" park is selling it short. Take the time to check out every nook and cranny - you won't be disappointed.

Ditto to what TDLFAN, Rixter and aashee posted above. Animal Kingdom is my favorite of the four WDW parks. I can easily spend a full day exploring the park, and then some. Happy Anniversary DAK!!!

Wow that has been a quick 10 years, Happy Anniversary DAK!! I can't believe it will be 10 years since my first visit in May of 98.

Hope whoever gets to go to the park today has a great time.

Happy Birthday DAK!!!!

I have only been to the park once a few years ago, my family did not like it that much, but I think it is about time for me to give it another try. The day we went I was sick, we had my dads half of the family with us (who for some reason just dont do theme parks), and it was my little cousins first time at Disney and he was still pretty little. Maybe this trip for me coming up would be a great time to explore the park, (and get to the rides in the dinosaur section before that part of the park closes).
