Finally going to eat at Boma

So my job is sending me down to a new client on Thursday in Orlando on Intl drive... then on friday I have to drive down to West Palm beach to their other store and do an install there... but when in orlando, do what the micechatters do... and thats to visit WDW.

So I dont know what time I am going to get done with the install in Orlando, and with the parks all closing around 7ish (MK has extra magic hours untill 11pm, but I am not staying on property), I am not getting my hopes up to hit a park So I made a reservation at Boma.

As many of you know, I am like the #1 fan of Ohana, but I wanted to try something new, so I made a reservation for BOMA. So my question to you guys, what should I make sure to try and what should I stay away from...

    Thanks...

Try everything. That's the beauty of a buffet. Just get a tiny sampling so you don't get too full.

Honestly, there wasn't anything there that I hated (like Beverly). So, I'd give it all a go at least once.

Have fun Parisi!!! I wish I was still there so we could dine together. I mean, compared to Sonics that you'll be drooling after you will love Boma.

I have to say that other than the desserts I just wasn't a fan of Boma's food. Then again I'm not one for spicey food and the majority of what we ate was.

I do however, hope you have a wonderful time and enjoy what little time you do get in the World. Sometimes, even a hotel is enough to satisfy the Disney itch.

Ooh, Boma is so yummy. Also take some time before or after dinner to see the animals outside on the savanah.

Summer, see I love Spicy food. The hotter the better. I was in Vegas once visiting my cousin and we went to an amazing mexican place and we got some habanero salsa and we ate a little and the left half of our mouths went numb for 15min... it was awesome...

I am trying to hit MK before it closes at 7pm, just to try and hit some of my fav's and take some pics for Where in the world...

I wish you were still going to be there as well... I mean hanging out with you for 7mins one time in NYC, is just not enough...

Anyway, I tried Sonic last year when I was down there, and I couldnt stand it. Everything was so damn greasy... I did enjoy their shakes though...

Try everything, its all good at Bomas it's one of my favorite buffet's at WDW. Take some time to talk with the CM's there at the lodge, many are from Africa and love to talk about home and not many folks take the time to talk with them and they are very friendly.

Oh absolutely! I know a lot of people that adore spicey food! I have to admire someone who can do what you mentioned and not need a gallon of water. LOL

The savannah outlook is open all the time and even at night they have night vision goggles, so you can still see the animals.

They don't close the animal viewing areas. There is even a spot where they bring out night vision goggles so you can see the animals that way.

I'll be going with my family in December and was considering trying Boma. (We'll be staying at the Yacht Club). Are there kid friendly meals? My little ones are typically finicky and can't stand the spicy stuff.

I've heard so many great things about Boma that I'd like to try it out!

They have lots of finicky child safe food! i.e. chicken strips, and mac & cheese
