Re: Alice's Wonderland's 1st ever Trip Report and 2nd trip to WDW

    Day 3:

We got up late, which was nice and headed over to Hollywood Studios.

We watched one of the shows- I'm not even sure what these are called. It was really funny though. This one woman was talking on the phone for a good portion of the show and they were mocking her. It took until almost the end of the show for her to figure out they were making fun of her.

    This guy was especially funny.

We had early reservations at 50's prime time so we headed over there. I hadn't been in before. It was a great dining experience! The Cherry Coke was awesome.

We headed off to do the backlot tour when we ran into Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable! Ron asked where I was from and I told him California. He asked what I was doing there, I said celebrating my college graduation. He said, Oh I just started college. Nice. I'm older than Ron.

The backlot tour seemed shorter. Like you used to drive past houses? Davy Jones's organ was pretty cool though.

Lights Motor Action was up next. That was really well done!
I missed the car jump with my camera the first time around but I got a picture of it on the screen.

At this point it started to pour. Now I live in Humboldt County, I'm used to the rain. This picture seemed to ironic not to take.

Then off to see Mike. That is one short person inside there!

Jedi Traning Academy! I kinda think the Disneyland kids get jipped having to fight Darth Maul instead of Darth Vader.

This kid was super cute! The Jedi Knight thought so too. He totally got special treatment.

Indiana Jones Stunt Show- we saw it the day the movie came out.

Sci Fi Drive In- We hadn't been here before either. I loved the atmosphere!

    Star tours queue

    If only

Did you know that you can buy Hollywood Tower Hotel pens for a $1? Seriously, I didn't know Disney even sold anything that cheap.

    Great Movie Ride

And so ends Day 3. Day 4 coming up!

The houses used to be where the Lights, Motors, Action! stunt show is now.

    Good to know.

    They alternate mickey/minnie. Thanks!

Awesome pics! Love the report! The angles are great!
    Thanks!

Day 4 Started off with breakfast at 1900 Park Fare so I could eat with Alice.

Winnie the Pooh came by first

    Then Tigger

Then Alice came over. She was impressed with my bag

After breakfast we headed over to EPCOT. It's my favorite park

    I loved all the topiary's

    Jose!

World Showcase was up first with Mexico being the first country we went to. I love love what they've done to this ride. I think it's great that they plussed it to add classic characters.

China next- I was born in the year of the Tiger

    First time I've seen Mulan

    Pretty flowers

Scar! you don't see him very often

I had no idea that Snow White was German

St George and the Dragon! One of my favorite stories (although I didn't know that it was German either)

    Morocco is gorgeous

    Italy is Gorgeous!

I have a Mardi Gras mask, I'd love a Carnivale one too. This one is my favorite. And of course it's $400. But isn't it pretty?

In France I met up with Aurora- who had a Southern accent. She was also really tan. I know I'm really white but she was really tan. It was funny but it seemed out of place.

    France had a fragrance garden

Chip was all by his lonesome. It was kind of sad

England had a tea garden. I thought it was pretty clever actually.

We walked over to test track. If gas weren't $4.45 here, I'd love to have this hummer

Mission Space! It was my first time so I opted for the green route. I'm a total wuss.

We we got out there was a torrential downpour. Seriously. I don't mind the rain but it was crazy. However that little shop is only so big and as it kept filling up I got claustraphobic and wanted to leave. So needless to say I got soaked walking over to Nemo. Which is another really cute ride. And I love all the aquarium stuff that they have.
    Hidden Mickey!

This Dory fish was playing in the bubbles

This fish was so cool! I didn't even see it until it moved.

After the trauma of being wet and futher ruining my hair (my hair and the humidity didn't get along as it was) it was back off to Mexico for dinner and a Gran Fiesta Margarita. I only liked the mango part though.

We stopped in China to watch the acrobats. They were really amazing.

    Water on the water lily

Back over toward Italy for Illuminations

Past America looking for the perfect spot

It ended up being back by Italy. It was my first time seeing Illuminations too. It was pretty great. What added to it was all the lightning that flashed the entire show.

    So pretty!

Day 5 coming up! (It happens to be my favorite day so stay tuned)

Thank you! And she really was like a Malibu Aurora!

    Day 5
We spent most of the day at Downtown Disney.

And that included over an hour at the Harley store. We always have to stop at the Harley store. I grew up around Motorcycles- it's why I look like such a natural.

Easy Rider has got to be one of the worst movies ever made. Nevertheless my dad was really excited to sit on one of the Easy rider Harley's

We headed over to Hollywood Studios around 4. I wanted to know what the chances were of me getting to see a soft opening. Turns out, I'm pretty blessed.

The queue is amazing. My all time favorite queue is on Roger Rabbit. This might just beat that.

They put so much attention and detail in it. And Mr Potato Head really is awesome

I beat my dad! That never happens. And true my score is nothing to write home about but I don't play video games so I think it's pretty good. I got a wii for christmas and I think I've played it all of 5 times.

    On the way out

I won't tell you anything about it other than it was amazing. It's totally worth the wait. We waited an hour and a half the first time and just under an hour the second time. Disney has really done a spectacular job here. And I had heard that you could hear the noise of the other players, but I honestly couldn't except when we'd pass by. Don't miss this ride.

And where else to eat after Midway Mania but Pizza Planet? Which has improved in 6 1/2 years.

And after we rode Midway Mania twice then Tower of Terror, the park closed. So we headed over to Magic Kingdom.

    The castle really is gorgeous

And so ends Day 5. Only two days left! more to come...
