Disney's EPCOT Teddy Bear and Doll Weekend - 20th Celebration - OVER 100 PHOTOS!!!

Disney's EPCOT Teddy Bear & Doll Weekend - 20th Celebration

Once again Disney brought together an abundance of artists whose creativity and imagination transform dolls and bears into beloved friends. Over the course of the weekend event they shared their passion, insight and talent, as well as offering some incredible treasures.

My partner Philip and I along with our special guest, fellow doll board regular Regina in NC, took in the event and many of the wondrous attractions EPCOT has to offer. After meeting with the artists and viewing their work, we visited attractions such as the newly revamped Spaceship Earth, The Seas with Nemo and Friends, Gran Fiesta Tour, Reflections of China CircleVision 360 movie, Mission Space, Test Track and one of EPCOT's most popular attractions, Soarin'. (TIP: Get your FastPass for this one as soon as you arrive at the park, standby wait times can often exceed two hours)

We also visited one of our favorite EPCOT locations for dinner, The Biergarten, located at The Germany Pavilion. Inside this beautifully themed restaurant, we were entertained by the delightful old world German band, and throwing any dietary caution to the wind, we all made multiple visits to the hearty buffet.

No tofu and bean sprouts here, this is the place for delicious comfort food. Highlights included: Herring Salad Schleswig Holsteiner Style (this was the first place I ever sampled a herring salad, and it has since become one of my favorite items, give it a try!) Bavarian Wurst Sausage Salad (yum!) Wurst Platte mit Schinkenwurst, Landjager, und Bologna (Sausage Selection with sliced Ham Bologna, Landjager and Ring Bologna), Berliner Bouletten, Cream of Potato and Leeks with Pretzel Croutons, Braised Beef Roulades(this a MUST have!), a mouthwatering Sauerbraten (Marinated Pot Roast), Potato Dumplings with Bread Crumb Butter, Crisp Pork Roast carved to order served with German Mustard, Apple Sauce and Apricot Compote, Weisswurst mit Senf und Pretzel Brautchen (Munich's famous white veal Sausages with Sweet Mustard and Pretzel Rolls), Schwaebische Kaese Spaetzle mit glacierten Zwiebeln (Cheese Spatzle with glazed Onions), Schnitzel Wiener Art (Breaded Pork Schnitzel Vienna Style), Hausgemachte Spaetzle (Homemade Spaetzle), Wurst Platte mit Gegrillter Bratwurst, Mini Regensburger und Kassler Ripchen(Sausage Platter with Grilled Bratwurst, Mini Regensburger and Double-smoked Pork on Sauerkraut).

Amazingly we managed to save room for the decadent desserts which included: a traditional Freshly Baked Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce (Philip's favorite!) crispy Florentine Cookies, Black Forest Cake and a creamy Bavarian Cheese Cake.

Aside from the fabulous food and welcoming atmosphere, there is something so special about this location that brings me back time and time again. I think perhaps I am developing a fetish for Lederhosen.

Awesome! I gog to visit last year's Teddy Bear & Doll show on public day and was mezmerized over all the dolls and stuffed animals. The artist of the latest Marie Osmond doll at the time was there and I got to talk to her briefly. She let me hold the doll and everything. It was really interesting talking to some of the doll & bear makers. Plus I got to see Mickey & Minnie in their yellow & white springtime/Easter outfits, which I had never seen before.

Fun pics! Although next time you might want to make them a little smaller, so people with slow connections can appreciate your beautiful pictures as well.

I have to say though I thought Gregg Ortizz's dolls have his face. The nose, everything matches, maybe its just me. :P

Great report!!!! Maybe, I'm weird...but, I think alot of those dolls are odd looking. I did LOVE the Cinderella "nightinggale" and the one with her dressed up. The faces are amazing there! And I love Cruella. That one is really cute!

Awesome Pics. But those Toffee Dolls scare me. I've never seen so many Jiminy Crickets. And those Chatham Village animals are awesome looking. I want that Parrot thing.
