Really everything I have heard about TSM has been positive
I have only heard positive things as well
^^ WB own the MGM archive today don't they?
Down with the Hat
Yes, all of those classic pre-1986 MGM movies are owned by Time Warner. (To oversimplify, when Sony bought MGM they got the name/logos, the modern library, and United Arts films like the James Bond movies.)
Outside of Alien (Fox), I believe all of the non-Disney films from the GMR before the end montage are licensed from Warner or Lucasfilm. (That should hold true for the coming attractions that open the ride, as well.)
Most of the rumors point to good relations with Lucas. Hopefully Rick and Ilsa aren't going away anytime soon, either.
I would hope that Disney is maintaining good relations with Lucas -- what with Star Tours 2 coming, and a possible Indy update in Anaheim.
I'd say give it a few years, and then DHS will be a park that guests are excited about visiting once again. TSMM and Pixar Place is the first step in the right direction. Remember, Disney can't make a transformation in one night. It'll take a while, but we'll definately see some major improvements over the coming years with some quality attractions.

Four years of magic and still going strong.
I'm guessing Iger gets credit for that...just as he is responsible for repairing the rift with Pixar. Who knows maybe he can repair relations with Spielberg so we could see a little Roger Rabbit at DHS. It's ironic that RR is missing from the park where he would be most appropriate.
Down with the Hat
Rumor has it LotR has been scrapped.
Anyway, DHS can only go up from here. Let's start with replacing Sounds Dangerous with....something else.
I like The Happiest Millionaire. What's wrong with that?
I think I'm the only one who doesn't dislike Sounds Dangerous. Not that it's a must see, but it's a pleasant enough diversion to get out of the hot sun.
It's a Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah...Tip for Today!
