    WDW main dish to replicate

So for my bday this year I am making homemade versions of all my favorite WDW treats such as rice krispie treats, caramel apples, churros and dolewhip floats. But I am at a loss for a main dish. We love O'Hanna but I don't want to take the time to make something that involved...Any ideas???

Yeah, I guess that's what I should have said. I am already making to much other stuff to add much more! We will probably end up grilling burgers and hot dogs for the main dish....

I just found this flank steak marinade online from the LTT - flank steak is so easy to make!:

    Flank Steak Marinade
from Liberty Tree Tavern, Magic Kingdom

    Yield - serves 6

    4 teaspoons salt
    2 teaspoons black pepper
    2 tablespoons curry powder
    2 teaspoons cumin
    2 tablespoons rosemary, fresh, chopped
    4 teaspoons paprika
    2 teaspoons coriander
    2 tablespoons granulated garlic
    2 teaspoons oregano, dried

Combine all ingredients then store in a sealed container.

Rub steak with marinade and let sit in cooler for at least one hour. Steak can marinate for 24 hours in advance.

Roast steak off in 350' oven for about 15 minutes.

    Steak will be cooked medium.

I would just grab 2 sizes of burger buns. Not sure who sells the mini kind or if you have to make them and bake them yourselves but in the end make one big burger and 2 smaller ones for the ears, then put them all on a long large display area and let guests pic and choose whether or not they want small or large burgers to feast on.

Simple as that, very stress free and very in the theme of Disney.

Now that I can do! Thanks for the great idea!

My bday is July 8th but we are having the party on the 3rd. I am thinking of playing the Wishes soundtrack while we set off fireworks. Last year I was at WDW for my bday but this year I have to bring WDW to me!

O'hana does not seem that involved to me.

    Grilled meat - cinch
Brocolli and green beans - easy
Pot Stickers - you can buy frozen ones in a sack from Costco - I am sure WDW gets theirs in a similar way
Noodles with peanut sauce - you can par boil pasta and hold it for a long time and then just blanch it before service. Peanut sauce = peanut butter and hot water
Coconut/Pinapple bread - Ill give you this one as involved, required baking, but it can be held for a day or two (provided nobody snacks on it )
Bread Pudding is an easy dish as well.

I think if you picked just some elements of the meal, you could pull it off.

I haven't tried it but it'll be a fun thing to experiment with. Do you have a soft serve machine? You could probably take concentrated pineapple juice and add it to a vanilla mix.

You can get the official Dole Whip mix online: http://www.uec-hawaii.com/associateRICKY.html but that's kinda pricey for my personal tastes (I bet the concentrated pineapple juice works better)!

I love Dole Whips, so I think I will be giving this a shot (funny I never thought to before) and I shall let you know how things turn out!

My birthday's on the 3rd and I'm making 'Ohana's bread pudding with my Mom Yay for Disney feasts!

My family loves the steak at 'Ohana...from what they've told me, it's quite yummy. You kind find the recipe on AllEars (along with a ton of others).

    Happy birthday!
