Thats one heck of a walking path. Not only do you have the walk along the old track line, but then you have the walk after that to get up to the Conservation Station. It's probaly around a 1/4 mile each way.
There is open space west of the tracks, they could just stick a theater there. I see no need to rip up the rails.

I highly doubt Lucky the Dragon would ever happen.

Probably, it was a Jim Hill Rumor after all. But of course, the Lucky the Dino is currently sitting around doing nothing
Re: Pocahontas & Her Forest Friends Closing Sept. 27th
What exactly was this show like?
I have never heard of it.

Its like Sominex on crack
Edit: OK thats a bit harsh. Its a stage show, with Pohcohantas wearing a pair of Ugg boots for some reason. She sings a bit, and then hears people logging the forset offstage. She summons her animal friends by blowing the shofar (somehow she converted) and they just sort of meander across the stage one by one (live animals). Somehow each animal teaches them somthing - its very forced, a duck teaches them to keep trying for example, I am not sure how, but there you go. Then they come to the brilliant conclusion that humans have the power to save the forest. Then she sings, and tissue paper leaves blow. And then it ends. Nobody mentions what happend to the loggers. Maybe they went away in embarrassment.
I saw it once, and felt very very bad for the actress. She was cleary trying to do her best with a cobbled togeher scrip, and acting as an animal wrangler as well.

No replacement has been announced yet
Hmmm... for a company that is rolling in dough...and a Disney resort that does not deserve the amount of visitors it gets... well, that is pathetic.

I wish that would happen too, but not likely.

Let me just get to what I've heard will be happening, & I know this rumor has been thrown around thousands of times, but... Beastly Kingdom.
While no rumors have come up yet on what specific attractions would be put into place there, I have heard that Festival of the Lion King would be moved to a bigger theater in Africa. The Train to Rafiki's Planet Watch would be removed, & half way along the new walking path from Africa to Planet Watch would be Festival of the Lion King.
Not likely. There is too much backstage and animal support facilities that are vital to the parks operations to add much merit to this rumor. Not to mention that even if everything inside the loop of he DAK park railroad was relocated...... the walk from the back train stop to Planet Watch is long enough, I can't imagine guest walking from a midway point between the two stations to Planet Watch on a Hot Summer day.
