![]() | Just think, Practicly everything In tommorowland is based in Space. Like BLAB, its in space and so is Star Tours. Astro Orbiter is based on space too. Please correct me if im wrong but I think Tommorowland could be Spaceland. |

![]() | Re: More Spacy then Tommorow? Americans tend to view space as the future. I would like to see a bigger varity of attraction themes myself.

![]() | Re: More Spacy then Tommorow? TL has become more Science Fiction with Star Tours, Buzz, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, than the Science Faction of the 50's and 60's. And the only Science Faction is in Innoventions, the crapiest attraction in TL. |

![]() | Re: More Spacy then Tommorow? It kinda is more space-based than the world of tomorrow, but I don't mind much really. I tend to like space stuff. I just wish, and this is like my biggest wish for Tommorrowland, is that they change Pizza Port's name to Pizza Planet like in Toy Story... complete with Alien claw machine! |

![]() | Re: More Spacy then Tommorow? When we had Horizons I would have agreed 100% but "FutureWorld" at Epcot has lost that whole "If we can dream it we can do it!" attitude and is becoming more of a action ride area with the addition of TestTrack and Mission Space, Wonders of life pavioion is showing no signs of it so I doubt we'll ever get to ride BodyWars again. UOE is stale without the moving screen in the pre-show area, it has little or nothing to do with the future, With the loss of sea base alpha in the seas with the Nemo overlay any futuristic elements are gone there. The new SSE Overlay is well disappointing IMHO I like the addition of the in card touch screens, and the much needed end queue pavilion rework but the new script just feels like it's been dumbed down for a 2nd grade audience. The jorney into Imagination has lost any futuristic sense since they did away with the original show, and the Land well the Hydro/aireoponics is kinda "futuristic" but much of the hydroponics technology has been commercially available for well over a decade. The problem with any "future" based land or park is that as soon as a concept comes together in a new attraction, often it's soon eclipsed or surpassed by relaity. Take Mission to the moon, when it opened in WDW we had steeped foot on the moon, already it was almost obsolete and had to be remade into "Mission to Mars" (one of my favorites back in the day along with "to fly" sponsored by Eastern Airlines). I think there's much more that can be done in future world, the problem comes down to economics, if you are Disney which makes more sence to the bean counters to create a "classic" ride that will last for 20-30 years or a "future based ride" that may cost more and be obsolete in 10? Couple that with the "sponsorship" phenomena at Epcot where let's face it Sponsors want to highlight near term gains not "20-30 years from now when you grow up" and it compounds the issue further. So is all lost? Not really there's a new Tomorrowland movie coming out, which hopefully will spike interest and a call to action to get us back to more classic future rides in both DL and WDW, Space Mountain is getting a long overdue refurb, and there's a lot of "space" for improvement!
