Cool Re: What Disneyland attraction do you miss the most?

I miss the skyway ALOT, it was sooooooo...much fun!!!!! The People mover, but you can ride that at WDW, and I miss the Trip Through Inner Space, my all time favorite ride. I would ride that over and over again. Is it just me or has Tomorrowland lost it's luster, it seems like kind of an after thought. They could really make Tomorrowland something with technology moving as fast as it is. Bring back Inner Space or bring Body Wars and Cranium Command to Disneyland' Tomorrowland. Health issues are huge right now, very futuristic and forward thinking, they would fit right in at Tomorrowland. I really miss the Tomorrowland of the 60's and 70's. Fantasyland still rocks, NOS too! Just fix up Tomorrowland, oh! and bring back Carousel of Progress (again at WDW) but update it for the future!!!!!
I'm just saying.....

Cool Re: What Disneyland attraction do you miss the most?

OMG, I almost forgot my other all time favorite ride, The Painted Desert Train ride, that ranked right up there with Inner Space for me. I know, Walt said to keep changes coming, but I wish they could somehow rotate some of these old favorites back in for a year or so, OR BETTER YET, fix up DCA, which needs some help and make a whole area for all the Old favorite rides that actually worked on a daily basis: read; Not the Flying Saucers! It would be great to create A YESTERLAND right at DCA. Now there is a dream for the Year of a Million Dreams, eh? How cool would that be? The place would be swarming with baby boomers who would be drooling to get on their old faves again!!!!! Let's pass the word on to the powers that be...We want our yesterland!!!!!!!!!!A real park at DCA. They HAVE the $$$$$$ to do it.

Skyway for me. I'm already forgetting how everything looked when I was on that ride. Only thing I can remember now is getting in and off the ride at the Fantasyland and Tomorrowland stations and how the CM would swing the buckets to the other side.

Not at all...I to am one of those who misses Videopolis, god knows I spent way to much time there during the summer, dancing to I can't wait by Nu shooz. (ugh flash back of really BIG hair.)Anyways...the one I miss the most...would be America sings....I drove all my friends nuts with this one. They hated going with me because I would sing through the entire thing.

My parents were thrifty, so we always brought our own food and ate in the picnic area. We didn't waste money on park food. (It was a different era.)
Thank you for reminding me about this!!! The best tuna sandwiches (even grandma said so) were from there!! Now I want a tuna sandwich!

Re: What Disneyland attraction do you miss the most?

I am from70's early 80's era. I would say I miss:

1. People Mover ~ great ride to relax on after a long day at Disneyland
2. Incredible Journey ~ Loved the big eye that would look at you through a microscope.
3. Skyway ~ it was a great way to get a birds eye view of the park.

the most...

Peoplemover - that is the one I miss the most. Being that my first visit was in the early 90's and after that didn't get to make it back for a number of years I can't say there is a lot I remember that is missing today but PM was the best. Slow moving, relaxing and peaceful. Not everything has to set landspeed records!

I wish Disney could bring back the people mover too. But due to the safety Nazis entrenched in the CA government beaurocracy, it ain't gonna ever happen. Unless the Govenator can issue an executive order to give Disney an exemption that is. Who knows if that is even possible? Is anyone else sick of government meddling in their private lives?

I really miss the Skyway!!! And the People Mover. I loved those two, even if they were more sedate, they were such a memory from my childhood days at the park.

Peoplemover and Skyway! I curse the suits that took them down!

Also, I'd have to say with all the press it's had lately, I miss the old Fantasyland. Or maybe I'd just like to climb in my time machine and visit it again.
