January 30, 2009: Vacationing in Orlando

On one hand, this article is a sales pitch. But it's also a look inside a rental Vacation Home.

Very interesting. It's great for families plus it makes it easier to enjoy other Orlando attractions. When we have stayed on property I felt we HAD to Stay on property. Do you know if the Big Bambo still exists? It's a small funky bar where current and former cast members gather and the stories you would hear......

According to Wikipedia, the Big Bamboo Lounge closed in 2004 due to hurricane damage, and in December 2005, fire destroyed the building.

Werner, your 'shameless sales pitch' is ok by me, especially when you provide your disclaimer. Anyone planning a WDW trip is benefited by information on all the alternatives.

Thanks, Werner. We've never been to WDW before, and I appreciate getting some information on where to stay from someone I trust.
