Tomorrow, May 25, is the big day. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End officially opens in movie theaters across the United States and Canada. And Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island debuts at Disneyland.

In all the excitement, you may have missed the other pirate attractions opening May 25.

I dont know if giving Disney ideas like this is a good thing although an animitronic jack stumbling across lincoln's stage would be funny

Uh, seriously for a moment here...

I have been on the record saying that Parks and Resorts should implement a marketing program to ride the coattails of the Pirate phinominon... And that it should have been a synergystic natural to do so...

I find it interesting that EVERYONE who is ANYONE in Glendale thought it was a great idea except Rasselo and his marketing team... Who still think that the Year of a Million Dreams was a good idea... (more like a good waist of $$$)

Interestingly enough, no one is talking about this marketing "fubar" and is going gaga over Pirates... Which proved me right... And proved that Lasseter and Cook have better marketing sense than Rassulo...

Too bad this is the last film, at least for a while...

People do feel the park is being overrun with pirates.

One little part of Frontierland is being taken over.
No Space Pirates in Tomorrowland (unless you count Zerg's presence).
No Pirates on Main Street.
No Pirates in Adventureland...unless you count Indiana Jones and his crew STEALING from the Temple of the Forbidden Eye.
No Pirates in Toontown, unless you count Donald Duck's 'naval obligation'.

I mean come on, all of this attention on the Pirates can sure make one BELIEVE the park is being overrun, but when you put it into perspective, it really is a lot of hype...

..now if we can just see the Main Street Piratral Parade everything would be just peachy.

I like it... and thankfully Disney is run by lawyers nowadays otherwise this would be giving them too many ideas to "pirate", if you'll excuse the term.

American History? Who needs that!? America wants to see Jack Sparrow and whoever is the flavor of the month on American Idol. I seriously doubt if mainstream America even knows what century, let alone decade or years, Abraham Lincoln oversaw.
