Disneyland trip 12/08

I'm new here and don't know if this is the correct place to ask, so pleae redirect me if this is incorrect. On our most recent trip to Dland last weekend there were some characters missing from POTC. The large girl chasing the pirate and the "here kittty kitty" guy. Are they doing manitence or do you feel they will be gone for good do to political correctness of "large" people?

They're most likely doing maintenance on them. Recently the singing dog, donkey, and the "Sid Caesar" jail pirate went away for awhile and came back with new fur/costumes and were probably fixed, so it's most likely they're being repaired.
