Anyone remember the "Steps in Time" show at DCA?

I was trying to describe this show to a friend, and realized I hardly remembered any of it! I think there was a brief bubbles/Nemo section, and some dance numbers, but that's it. I didn't think it was particularly good, nor did I think it was particularly bad. Just very meh, aside from the energy of the performers.

Anyone remember more, and/or recall the storyline? Pics or video to share? Was this the first show in the Hyperion theater? I do remember it was Anne Hamburger, but that's about it.
Does anyone even bother with signatures anymore?

I have all the music for it, but never saw it. I was hoping it would turn up on youtube, but never found it.

Was that the show with all the drumming and instruments....and after the show they would all run down and say good bye to everyone. My memory of that is fuzzy. i may be the only one who could fall asleep to drums and other loud instruments.

Oh, yeah, I remember Steps In Time. I liked the show, except for the horrible two brothers story that eisner insisted being added to the show. They previewed the show with 4 amazingly talented adult singers. They whittled the show down to one singer who was turned into a hip fairy godmother, which also ruined the show, and then added to kids to show.

The bubbles portion you mention was actually a bizzaro version of Under the Sea. and yes, the cast of dancers wore some bizzare fish "hats" over their heads. I loved the lion king segment, And the best part was something that didn't live to see opening day - a couple of segments were unfortunately cut, when they added the 2 brothers story - here they are, but unfortunately the first video cuts out the middle song with the "7 dwarfs" in the background.

I'm trying to find videos of the ORIGINAL version with just the singers... anyone know where I can get a copy? I know there are YouTube videos of several songs from it.. but I would REALLY love the whole show. I only have a video of the revised (crappy) version.....

Seems like MiceChat is becoming more and more "punctuation optional". Seems to be a side effect of the text-message times in which we live.

    BACK TO TOPIC -

I don't remember ever seeing the show. Sorry I can't help there.

Well, looks like the youtube embedding isn't working, so here is one of the sections from original version, from before DCA officially opened

    YouTube - I'm Wishing

And here's a song from the bizarre hip and edgey transformed version,
